called a program

Symptoms Of A Good CPU

No beeping or abnormal noises coming from the motherboard or


other PC components.

The computer POSTs and can boot into the OS without any
issues.

The computer runs normally and CPU intensive tasks arent being
bottlenecked.

Symptoms Of A Broken CPU

The motherboard will beep a certain number of times. This


number of beeps depends on the motherboard model you have,
so its best to consult your manual to find out the number of
beeps.

Computer may briefly power on, but then power off right away.

The computer will power on but nothing else will happen on


screen.

The computer may not boot at all.

CPU intensive tasks such as video editing or etc may not run
optimally, indicating a damaged CPU.

How To Test If The CPU Is Broken

Begin by removing all excess parts, such as a DVD drive and etc

Use a secondary computer to test all of your parts other than the
CPU, so your RAM, GPU, PSU

If these parts are confirmed working, remove the CPU from its
socket and inspect the pins on the motherboard.

Inspect the motherboard in general and ensure all essential parts


are plugged in correctly.

You may also test the CPU on another compatible motherboard,


and if that doesnt work then you can conclude that your CPU is
faulty.
