CYBERBULLYING

What is cyber bullying?


Bullying is defined as doing harassment

that is directed towards specific people or


targets.
Bullying includes physical violence, verbal
mockery, threats and also rumors.
Bullying victims are 2 to 9
times more likely to consider
committing suicide.

How do people Cyberbully


others?
People usually bully others by bringing them

down, by using harsh words or spreading rumors


that are false.
Some bully others when they are motivated by
anger, revenge or frustration.
Cyber bullying is done through many Social
Medias. For example, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
etc.

What should you do if you are Cyberbullied?


If you are being bullied by chat then you can block

them.
Tell a trusted adult until someone takes action.
Dont resound to the bully. Never Retaliate.
Girls are about twice as likely
as boys to be victims and
perpetrators of cyber bullying

How can Cyberbullies be


caught?
The victim can screenshot the message and show

it to someone and get help.


It is also possible to track down the IP address.

What can you do to prevent cyberbullying in


your community?
We can open up a club, build a campaign or host

an event to bring awareness to cyberbullying.


To prevent cyberbullying in our community, we
should first educate ourselves and understand
what it means.
More than 16,000 young
people are absent from
school because of bullying

How can we be good


cybercitizens?
First, to be a good cybercitizen we should never be

a cyberbully ourselves.
Think first, Act Second. We should always be
careful about what we post online or anywhere
else.
We should protect ourselves and the people
around us. STAND UP FOR BULLYING.

What are some consequences of


cyberbullying?
You can be expelled from school and other outside

school activities.
Cyberbullying another can cause you to go to jail.
It can lead the victim to commit suicide.
Those who have been
bullied are more than twice
as likely to have difficulty in
keeping a job
