Kristian Murray discusses the effects of the Dust Bowl and the damage it caused to 75%
of the country. She expresses that through the New Deal and other conservation acts, we were
able to offer jobs and education on preserving farmland for years to come. Kristian Murray is a
sophomore at Northern Oklahoma College majoring in mathematics. Her sources are credible but
they are not cited correctly. This paper was written this year, thus making the information more
reliable. Murrays paper does an honorable job at summarizing the events of the Dust Bowl and
the travesty that it caused.
