Dear Parents,

Welcome back to term 6, it seems like only yesterday I sent out the newsletter for Term 1
and here we are almost at the end of the academic year. The last term of the year always
seems to fly and as always we have lots of learning to fit in. A lot of this terms learning will
be displayed during the annual Open evening and I do hope you can all join us on the 6 th July.
Fingers crossed the weather is good so that we can spend as much time as possible learning

Dont forget: Pearl 5s children need to be reading

daily at home every day; a child who reads 5 days a
week will receive a merit and will be mentioned in my
proud book. Please remember to write in reading
records when your child has read. Children also need
to be practising daily their spellings and times tables
for weekly tests. Spelling tests are on Monday and
Eggs on Legs tests (tables) are on a Thursday. You
will find the table your child is working on in the
front of their reading record.
PE and Sport for Pearl 5s Class.
On a Thursday, the class are lucky enough to be
working with Hannah from Saints in the Community
and will be developing their athletics skills. This term
I will be teaching swimming on FRIDAYs. Please
ensure swimming kits are in school every day as we
may have the chance to swim on numerous occasions.
Please remember named PE kits must come into
school on a Monday morning so that your child is
ready for our lessons.

This term we are looking at Climates, biomes and Rainforests. We will also
be continuing our learning on animals and their habitats.
If you have any items connected to any of these topics that you would like
to lend the class please ensure they are labelled with your childs name.

Home Learning.

As always children must be reading at home, practising their table, learning

their spellings daily and completing their homework every week.
Your childs project for terms 5 and 6 is due in on Monday 20 th July so they
should also be working in this. If you have misplaced the project letter
please see me and I will happily send out another one.
