Dear Parents,

Welcome back to term 2, possibly my favourite term as I love being part of the school
during the build up to Christmas. I hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable half term
break. We have a busy term ahead of us with lots of learning to be completed. Please
continue to support your child by hearing them read daily, helping them with the spellings,
their times table and their homework.
Thank you, Mrs Jones.

Dont forget: Pearl children need to be reading daily

at home; a child who reads 5 days a week will receive
a merit and be placed in my Proud Book. Please
remember to write in reading records when your child
has read. Children also need to be practising their
spellings and times tables for weekly tests. Spelling
tests are on Monday and Eggs on Legs tests (tables)
are on a Friday. KIRFS (maths targets) also need to
be learnt over the course of the term. Children will
be tested on these at the end of term.
PE and Sport for Pearl Class.
On a Thursday, the class are lucky enough to be
working with Saints in the Community coaches and will
be developing their football skills. On a Wednesday
they will be working with Caroline - The Dance Lady.
Please remember PE kits must come into school on a
Monday morning so that your child is ready for our
lessons. Please remember in the cold weather to
send your child in with jogging bottoms and girls who
wear tights need to bring in socks for PE lessons.
