LEADERSHIP VISION

WRITTEN BY MATTHEW J. DAILEY

TRANSCRIPT [style of political campaign advertisement]:

[Sitting behind desk. Shirt and tie.]
Hello. My name is Matthew Dailey and I approve this message:
I am actively seeking your support for a school leadership position. The education field, our
students, and our communities deserve the chief function of school leadership maintaining the
expectation of highly effective and relevant teaching and learning for all students and staff.
As a modern-day leader in our field, it is my duty to build the instructional capacity of our
school staff, equipping our teachers to prepare all students for readiness for the next grade level,
college, a career, and civic participation.
Other candidates might portray me as someone who inspires others through my words, actions,
and involvement. In this regard they are absolutely correct. Whether I am engaged with
community fundraising [Show photos of Harlem Globtrotters fundraiser], connecting with
students {M. Dailey Sweater vest Appreciation Day, ManUnited uniform with exchange
student], donating my hair in the name of motivation [ Hair Dying for THS Soccer bet], or
continually supporting students in their growth and development [Preston Pelham photo on last
day of school], leadership means you build relationship and inspire through your actions.
As a school leader, you get a dedicated professional who is responsive to the dynamics of a fluid
school environment. As your assistant principal, you get an education leader with a track record
of ensuring a safe learning environment for all [Anti-Bullying Worksheet], holding high
expectations for all learners with challenging, engaging and relevant curriculum [NGSS
Transition Plan], valuing professional growth and meaningful learning for staff [NGSS PL Plan],
and maintaining visibility within the school and greater community [photo supervising sports

Campaigns are high on rhetoric and low on substance. You do not have to believe the message
in this commercial. Let me prove my commitment to education through meeting with me for a
conversation.
