Classroom Policies

During Class
1.

The student is required to attend the classes in the beginning of the first meeting and he/she is r
required to present COR. If his/her name is not found in the class list then he/she is advised to
go to RSIS Office or ICT office to secure one and for proper guidance.

2.

Attendance will be checked before the class starts. Students will be signing the attendance
provided by the instructor. Failure to sign will be considered absent. For students
who
came late, you are going to create a letter to be submitted the next meeting explaining the
reason why you are late last meeting, this letter will serve as your entry ticket on the next
meeting.

3.

If the student is tardy three times, he/she will be considered absent for one class meeting. The
student who has incurred an absence of more than seventeen percent (17%) of the total number
contact hours shall be automatically dropped from the class roll. He/she shall be given a grade
of Dropped with Failure (D/F) by the instructor concerned.

4.

Absenses due to official participation of the student in co-curricular or extra curricular activities
shall be excused, provided that such participation is duly approved by competent authority of
university. The student concerned is responsible in informing the instructor one week before
participation in said activities.

5.

Absenses due to illness may be excused if the student submits a medical certificate issued by the
University Physician or any other physician.

6.

Turn cellular phones off or silent mode.

7.

Always maintain cleanliness in the classroom. Chairs should be arranged properly. Dragging of
chairs outside after the class is not allowed. Writing on the board should be erased prior to class.
Vandalism is strictly prohibited.

8.

Powerpoint slides will not be given to the students. It is on the part of the student to take down
notes. Taking pictures of the slides is also not allowed.

During Laboratory
1.

Please do not enter the lab without your instructor.

2.

Food or drink is not allowed near computers at any time or inside the laboratory

3.

Smartphones should be turn off or put in a silent mode and should be surrendered to the
instructor to avoid cheating.

4.

The use of flash disk is not allowed unless for some other cases the need of flash disk is
necessary to carry out the laboratory activity (e.g. Loss in internet connectivity).

5.

Students who has the same program will automatically get zero score.

6.

Students whose program was copied from the internet will also get a zero score.

7.

Talking to your seatmates or looking to seatmate's monitor will also be a ground for getting
a zero score.

8.

Opening social media sites like Facebook, Instagram and the like will be a ground for getting a
zero score.

9.

Deadline is deadline.

During Quizzes/Examinations
1.

Always come to a quiz prepared. Students asking/giving papers before the exam starts will not
be allowed to take the exam.

2.

Before the quiz or exam starts chairs should be arranged one seat apart from the other. Seating
arrangement will be based on the class list that is in alphabetical order.

3.

Phones should be turned off or in silent mode. All Bags should be placed in front.

4.

The studens is required to present his/her Examination permit to the proctors or subject
instructor before taking the examination. Failure to present can still take the exam but exam
score will only be recorded upon presentation of the permit.

5.

CHEATING in any form will be a ground for getting a zero score.

6.

Writing on the answer sheet not related to quiz or exam will also be a ground for getting a zero
score. (e.g. drawings, GG etc)
