Photosyn

thesis
Photo means light
and synthesis
means put together.
•Photosynthesis is how plants
use light and water to make sugar.

•Sugar is created in the green

parts (Chlorophyll ) of a plant and every
animal on earth depends on it.
• Plants absorb a common gas called
carbon dioxide
• pull water up through their roots and
use light to make sugar.
• Plants use the sugar to grow.
• Plants give off oxygen as a by-product.
• The green parts (Chlorophyll ) of the
plant makes the sugar and oxygen.
oxygen
Carbon dioxide +
water + sunlight
= sugar + oxygen

Photosynthesis (fotosintesis)
1. Photosynthesis is how plants use light and water to make sugar.
2. Plants absorb (menyerap) carbon dioxide, pull (menarik) water up
through the roots and use light to make sugar.
3. Plants use sugar to grow and free oxygen into the air.
4. Sugar and oxygen are created in the green parts of the plant
which is the chlorophyll (klorofil).
5. Carbon dioxide + water + sunlight = sugar + oxygen

Questions:
