A MOMENT OF SILENCE (2)

A moment of silence please….. The world has become too busy and noisy.
There is no place of quiet anywhere. The roads, the office, schools, not
even the graveyard these days offer quietness anymore. Our homes are
far from it thanks to Disc Jockeys we have as neighbours pouring out
noise from their radio and television sets that you wish for power outage.
Hurray! your wish has come true. PHCN has salvaged your eardrums
but oh! no! a new pestilence, the noise from power generating sets.
These days it seems people are competing for top honours on who
generates the most noise. The environment is continuously noisome and
sadly our lives are becoming so. Painfully unaware, the noise in our lives
is drowning out God’s voice. The still small voice that speaks peace,
brings healing and direction. We go to bed confused and wake up
frustrated because we don’t know what to do. We can’t hear God speak
concerning our situations because we’ve grown used to listening to noise
and we blame him for keeping silent concerning us. God speaks but our
ability to hear has been deafened. Most people don’t even pay attention
anymore.
Funny, most come to church and fellowships to hear God speak and
bring along a tray load of noise to prevent their hearing Him.
The world is noisy and would continually be so amidst its confusion. The
way to not becoming entrapped in its confusion is to have God lead you
and to be led you must hear his voice above the noise. He says ‘My
sheep hears my voice’.
As you go about your daily routines, take time to observe moments of
silence and hear what He will say to you. Your future depends on it.
