WHAT ARE ELECTRONS?
Electrons are subatomic particles carrying a
negative electric charge.
Electrons have a mass that is approximately
1/1836 that of protons.
No two electrons can occupy the same
quantum state, in accordance with the Pauli
exclusion principle.
Electrons contribute less than 0.06% to an
atom's total mass.

WHAT ARE ATOMIC NUMBERS?
Atomic numbers are also called proton
numbers.
Atomic number is the number of protons
found in the nucleus of an atom and
therefore identical to the charge number of
the nucleus.
It is conventionally represented by the
symbol Z.
