IMPROVISATION – HOW

NO-PLAN IS THE BEST PLAN

How it began
-From our need to wear clothes
when we’re cold to our need for
easier labor, it all started as an
improvisation.
-First it was just a loin cloth, but
eventually it became a pant.

-In the beginning we slept in caves

as natural shelters, but then we
started improvising shelter and
built houses that were to our
liking and that better suited our
needs.
In the beginning – Part 2
Improvisation in our lives

 Not only do we improvise tools and shelter, we

also improvise human relationships.
 Take for example things like going on a date or
simply making yourself something to eat. All of
these require improvisation more times than not.
 Another very important part of our life where
we use improvisation is music and theater.
Artists use improvisation to give their work a
more personal touch every time.

Part 2
We’re not the only ones!
 Did you think improvisation was unique to
humans? Then you were wrong. Other animals
such as chimpanzees, bears, fish, birds and many
others improvise shelters, tools, some even
improvise their appearance to attract a mate.

Improvisation – Engineering at its best.
 Engineering feats have almost always been the result
of countless trials and errors, which are nothing more
than pure improvisation of a hunch.
 Many specific items or uses for various items were
discovered by accidents. Take post-it’s for example,
that were discovered as a mistake in a laboratory,
when a scientist accidentally glued a peace of paper
on a desk.
 It’s safe to say, many of the worlds greatest minds,
were also the worlds greatest improvisers. Tesla,
Einstein, Coanda and many other tried, failed and
tried again until they got it right.

Part 3
An improvised ending

 Let’s all take a moment to thank mother

nature for giving us the wonderful skill of
improvisation, without which I would
probably could have never written this and
surely would have never projected it before
you.
