    Below is a simple schematic of the way your stator, battery and voltage regulator should be

    wired together.

    Switch
    Fuse
    Y R

    Y Y Bl
    Lighting
    Y Rectifier/Regulator

    Chassis Ground
    Battery
    Stator

    If one side of the stator lighting coil is common to chassis ground, mount the rectifier/ regulator
    so that its body is electrically isolated from the chassis (i.e mounted to the plastic airbox or inner
    rear fender skirt) and wire as shown below. All DC grounds must be common via their own
    ground wire. Do not connect any of the DC grounds to the chassis or the battery will not charge.
