HUNTERSVILLE, NC: The Huntersville Police Department is actively searching for and now seeking
the public’s help in locating Mark Allen Lynch, W/M, DOB: 11-13-76. Mr. Lynch was traveling to
Greenville, S.C. with his father to turn himself in on outstanding misdemeanor warrants, when they
stopped at Exit 23 (Gilead Road) in Huntersville, N.C. Once stopped, Lynch jumped out of the
vehicle that was stopped at the traffic signal at the top of the exit ramp and ran toward the Rosedale
Shopping area off of Gilead Road in Huntersville. This occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m. last night
(August 17, 2010). He has not been seen since that time.

If you should see this individual, exercise caution as he is potentially dangerous and has indicated
suicidal thoughts in the past. He is also a heavy drug abuser. He is approximately 6’0” tall, 165 lbs,
with hazel eyes, dark curly hair (shoulder length possibly pulled back in a ponytail), with a slight
beard. He was wearing a white T-shirt with either a brown or dark blue tank top underneath, blue
jeans and black tennis shoes.

Lynch is wanted on ten (10) outstanding felony warrants (fraud and larceny related) in Georgia and
is under indictment for similar crimes in Virginia. Lynch has used the alias Richard Charles Barnes,
DOB: 8/10/69 in the past.

If you should come into contact with this individual, please exercise caution and call 911
