NATURAL APPROACH

What I learnt is that natural approach is a system which aims teaching language
by taking an example from the period of native language acqusition. Namely,the
approach supports the dialect that adults can learn a second or foreign language as
children acquise their native language. Native language acqusition is defined as
foreign language learning.
What I had diffeculty in understanding is that foreign language is best learnt
when L2 is used for communication. I think someone whom L2 rings about nothing
can not take any role in a communication.
What I need to study more is that use of four tecnique in NA. Native language is
mostly acqused in public. Now If I have to apply this approach to a homogenious
classroom, I will really have troubles to use a tecnique.
To sum up my reflection,momentously underlined points in Natural approach are
natural period and communication. To communicate in L2 is the most important
principle of teaching language. According to the approach, foreign language acqusition
must be done through out a natural period as native language acqusition is done. For
that reason,some one learning a foreign language should frequently participate in
dialogs with native speakers.
