Please be aware that the Sydney Dogs and Cats Home is an impounding facility as well as an animal
rehoming shelter. Therefore you will be faced with the emotional side of dealing with animals.
Some of which may include caging, illness and possible euthanasia. Please seriously consider the
emotional toll these things may take upon you before you willingly commit to a long term
relationship with the Home.

As we have a responsibility for the care and safety of the animals and the volunteers, it is essential
that all volunteers follow correct procedure. Failure to follow correct procedures may lead to
termination of your volunteer agreement.
