    Ui Fools,

    If you are reading this, I’m most probably already at UM. Right now, you (Adin) are sleeping down-stairs.
    Derek might be kicking a ball somewhere. Lora might be sleeping on the couch. I suspect you’re coming
    up soon to enquire as to when I’m going to relish my turn on the computer. LOL that was a long
    sentence!

    Anyway, I just want to tell you a few things. Getting a grade D must’ve felt like hell. In fact, we probably
    felt like we are at the lowest level on the academic list. In truth, we are. However, there is always a silver
    lining to things. Since we are at the bottommost (is that even a word?) level, the only way is up. Hence,
    my belief that our journey up has just begun and you’re in for a huge surprise. To me, because I didn’t
    have foundation level under my belt, taking medic course seem like a tantamount thing. You know, like
    climbing Mount Kinabalu. I’ve never climbed the mountain before but I was prepared mentally for it (at
    least I like to think so).

    And when I said prepared, I mean matriculation. For Adin, you have the advantage of a
    Foundation, meaning you have a little taste of said mountain whereas people like me don’t. Don’t forget
    to hold on to this opportunity because the golden rule is, the ones with gold MAKE the rules. LOL was
    that quote even relevant to begin with?? Haha.

    Well anyway, do your damn best and don’t hold back. It’s difficult not impossible. One of the
    few things I’ve learnt is that we must learn to love knowledge. Because once you do, you can never get
    enough of it. Knowledge is power. I feel happy when I know a lot because I know I don’t know much. It’s
    stressful but knowledge is like a lady (unfortunately). Be patient with her and constantly seek her.
    Eventually, frigging knowledge will lodge itself in your brain and thus begin a journey of a fruitful
    relationship between you and your book. It’s strenuous but worth it. Know this and believe it.

    To conclude my long-winded essay to motivate you to study, I just want to say that you are who
    you make yourself to be. If life throws you lemons, make lemonade. Also, if life throws you a punch, you
    have a choice to stand back on your two feet (Now doesn’t that sound awfully familiar?? Haha.).
