 Inspired by Swami Vivekananda, Vinayak Lohani-
IIMC.

 Twin objectives:
 providing familial atmosphere to the destitute
children
 equipping them with right and useful education that
would help them navigate the social world
successfully later in life.

A BRIEF FACT SHEET
 402 erstwhile destitute children have found a new home, family,
and future at Parivaar Ashram since its starting an
December’03.

 All resident children admitted in Parivaar’s own high quality


formal School ‘Amar Bharat Vidyapeeth’ and in those higher
classes are in other good formal schools where they have got
through Competitive Entrance Tests.

 A second residential institution campus exclusively for girls


coming up and shall be operational by January 2010.

 More than 250 IIM alumni are regular supporters.

Funds are collected at zero-fund raising cost.

A Man Leading Mission.
 Son of an IAS officer and former Chief Election
Commissioner of Madhya Pradesh, brought up in
Bhopal.

 Graduated from IIT in 2000, was picked up by Infosys.

 CAT- IIMC

 Regularly discussing philosophy, spirituality, religion


and leadership.

 In IIMC started Parivaar club and focused teaching

 Influenced Vivekananda and Gandhi values.

 Wrote articles in Sulekha, Times of India and Mid-day

 John Baptiste Das, a local who knew all local conditions.

 Oct’03, rented a premise with 50 in Bonogram.

 Visited streets, villages, rail stations, NGOs to get children for


Parivaar.

 Shifted focus to corporate fund raising.

 23 batchmates of vinayak contributed.
