X. Rationale of the Project

Our proposed community project aims to establish a tutoring program for elementary students in San Vicente
community to support their academic learning. Many elementary students in the San Vicente community face academic
challenges due to various factors, such as the effects of the Covid Pandemic outbreak, shortage on financial funds for
education,
limited access to educational resources, socioeconomic disputes and many more. The tutoring program will provide much-
needed academic support to these students, helping them with their homework, reinforcing key concepts, and providing
personalized guidance to enhance their understanding of the curriculum. By addressing these academic challenges, the tutoring
program will contribute to improved academic achievement, empowering students with the knowledge and skills needed for
academic success.
Education is a fundamental right, and all students deserve equal opportunities to succeed academically. However, some
elementary students in the San Vicente community may face barriers that hinder their academic progress. The tutoring program
will be designed to be inclusive, providing support to students from diverse backgrounds. It will provide personalized learning
experiences tailored to the unique needs and abilities of each student. Tutors will work closely with students to identify their
strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles, and adapt their teaching strategies accordingly. This personalized approach will not
only improve academic performance but also foster the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and self-directed
learning skills.

XII. Description of the Project, Strategies and methods/Plan of Action

Project PK ,is an educational/academic guidance extension to support and provide assistance for unfortunate and
underprivileged children. It is an educational initiative that aims to deepen learning and socializing with the children who
voluntarily participated in our program. Within the project's three-day time frame. Our group will serve as a tuor/coordinator
for the whole program, working hands-on with the chosen NSTP students in conjunction with them. Two tutoring sessions will
be given daily for two different student groups.
As we implement our tutoring approach, we'll start by offering students a chance to explore their own subjects and
focus down certain lessons that they're having trouble understanding. By doing so, we will be able to identify the issues that
require our full attention if we are to properly help the children and accomplish our primary goal. Also, a method will be
established in which each student will have a tutor assigned to them in order to keep them engaged and attentive all through the
program. At the conclusion of each tutoring session, the organization will give each participant some essential school supplies
or materials to assist them with their education.

XIV. Functional Relationship with the collaborating agencies/Duties/Responsibilities

The National Service Training Program (NSTP) Office and the Polytechnic Institute of Tabaco will be the one to
provide us the initial permission to address our deepest concerns in the community of Barangay San Vicente. All activities will
be coordinated and agreed upon with the Barangay administration, particularly honorable Brgy. Captain, Mr. Berne Brosas and
SK officials of San Vicente and in cooperation of San Vicente Elementary School, which will grant us permission to use their
area as the venue of our program. The administration will help us identify the youths currently under elementary level in the
community and establish connection with their parents in making Project PK possible. Throughout the course of three days, the
program will be handled by our group leader and assistant leader. The treasurer is in charge of handling the money and the
purchases. Last but not least, the group secretary will supply the letters for obtaining authorization in partner agencies.
