 Coding
Coding is the procedure of classifying the
answers to a question in to meaningful
categories
Coding refers to the process of assigning
numerals or other symbols to answer so that
responses can be put in to a limited number
of categories.
 Data coding
Data coding means assigning a code to each
possible response of each question. Usually
code is a number.
“A systematic way in which to condense
extensive data sets into smaller analyzable
units through the creation of categories and
concepts derived from the data.”
