    Instructions for 2nd Week’s Assignment:

    1. Make a new folder on your computer and name the folder with your name.

    2. In the new folder, create a webpage using notepad and what you have
    learned in in Chapter 2. This page will be the home page on your website and
    must follow the guidelines listed below:

    a. The title in the <head> section should be your name.

    b. The background color of the page must be defined.

    c. You must include either an ordered or unordered list.

    d. You must include at least one <hr /> tag.

    e. You must have at least one image; make sure you use the <alt> tag
    for accessibility.

    i. Find a picture of yourself or something that represents your


    interests.

    1. Don’t forget it is illegal to use pictures from the internet


    without the owner’s written permission.

    2. It is best to either use a photo of yourself or find a


    “royalty free” image. Royalty Free images from the
    internet are legal and free to use.

    ii. In the folder with your name, save the image.

    iii. The name of the image cannot contain spaces or punctuation.

    f. Save the file.

    i. In Notepad, click File -> Save As…

    ii. Browse to the folder you created in Step 1 and double click it

    iii. In the Save As dialog box, the File name filed should be
    default.htm

    iv. In the Save as type filed, make sure you change it to All Files
    (*.*)
    v. Click Save

    3. Test your webpage by double clicking the default.htm file you created in your
    folder.

    4. Right-click the folder you created in step one that contains your image and
    your webpage. Click Send To and click Compressed (zipped) folder.
    Name the file Chapter02-YourName.
