WHAT ARE EMOTIONS?

 Emotions are feelings that are directed at someone


or something. They are reactions to some
situations, not a trait.
 Emotions are mental states that arise
spontaneously, rather than through conscious
effort.
 Emotions are often involuntary, related to feelings,
perceptions or beliefs about elements objects or
relations between them, in reality or in the
imagination

 Emotional Intelligence:
Ability to perceive emotions.
To access and generate emotions so as to
assist thought.
To understand emotions and emotional
knowledge; and to reflectively regulate
emotions so as to promote emotional and
intellectual growth.”
