Location

Germany is located in the Central Europe, bordering the Baltic Sea and the North Sea, between the
Netherlands and Poland, south of Denmark.

Weather

Cool, continental climate with abundant rainfall and long overcast season. Lower temperatures with
considerable snowfall in east and south.

Food

Pork, beef, and poultry are the main varieties of meat consumed in Germany, with pork being the
most popular by a substantial amount. The average person in Germany will consume up to 72
pounds of meat in a year. Among poultry, chicken is most common.

Sports

Football is the most popular sport in Germany; they have won the world cup and the European cup
three times. In the winter (2006 in Turin) Olympics Germany claimed the most gold medals. They
ranked 5th in the real Olympics in 2006.
