I don’t watch “Jersey Shore.” I hear it’s popular, but it’s not my kind of show. People
seem to love or hate “Snookie.” There are others with cute nicknames that I can’t remember. It
seems to be a program centered around a bunch of young people behaving badly. I have other
articles on this guy (as well as the other Jersey Shore-ers) and I’m convinced that this guy may
From what I understand, he behaves just as badly as the other kids on the show. Rude,
crude, and often drunk (but then again, who isn’t at that age?). But this guy seems to have a
few more brain cells than the other cast-mates. Why do I say this?
I say this because “The Situation” has figured out how to make phenomenal amounts of
money from this show. Most reality show stars make a little extra money by making
appearances at bars, parties, and functions. A few have done workout videos. I think some have
sex tapes.
But this guy… he’s taking his fifteen minutes and leveraging the hell out of it. Workout
videos, appearances, products, merchandising and endorsements, etc. From what I understand,
he invented his own words on the show, made them popular, and then trademarked them so
that anyone else who uses his made-up words have to pay him. I can’t think of a more brilliant
capitalistic move for almost no investment. I don’t care how dumb the guy acts on TV, he has a
A lot of fifteen-minute celebrities flare up, make some money, then fizzle away broke
and defeated and desperate to reclaim their fame. I don’t think that’ll happen with “The
Situation.” He seems smarter than that. Will he always be famous? Probably not. I think he
realizes this. That’s why he’s pushing so hard to make as much money as he can right now.
Because I think he knows that he won’t always be famous. But he’ll never be broke again.
