Scenario
• Hannah and her group mates are assigned to do a research
on butterfly population for genetic course. So they went to
the nearby forest to catch butterfly for specimen making.
Suddenly they saw a colourful butterfly and they chased after
it. The butterfly rest on a pitcher plant. When they
approached it and to their surprise, the pitcher plant closed
up and trap the butterfly. Out of curiosity, they used a stick to
poke the plant. They wondered the closure of the plant is
same as Mimosa pudica. Their attempt is a vain. As a biology
student, they decided to find out the difference of movement
mechanism between the pitcher plant and Mimosa pudica.
