SWBAT – describe clothing (articles of clothing,


color, different patterns), ask and answer the
question: What is he wearing? I am wearing…

Time Activity Materials


30 mins Ask ss, what am I wearing? Brainstorm a list of worksheet
clothing on the board, going around the room, what is
she wearing? Worksheet with clothing
vocabulary/pictures. Review formal and casual
vocabulary (CCQ – Formal dance, casual Fridays)
what clothing is formal/casual?
Worksheet with clothing vocab and pictures, more
specific (belt, jewelery, etc…)
45 mins Each student should write/speak one sentence…I am worksheet
wearing…and list everything. Ask one person – What
are you wearing (role play with going out for dinner,
calling your friend to ask what she’s wearing) Ask
students about others in the class, what is Radia
wearing, what is Francine wearing? Worksheet,
match the description of the clothes with the person.
Review vocab – striped, flowered, polka dots, and
colors, etc…quickly.
60 mins Give each ss a couple of ads from magazine. Ss magazine photos
should be able to say, he/she is wearing (and list
everything, color, patters, etc…) share your ad with
the class.
Begin next Hair, body, face, age…continue with physical
class with: descriptions
