Summary of Content: A communicative approach to teaching written and

spoken French providing 70-90 hours of study. The textbooks with 2 CDs are
made up of nine units (level 1 and 2) or twelve units (level 3) organized around
themes and associated communicative goals. The method incorporates many
different real life situations to promote real communicative skills. Students may
require assistance from the French instructor to understand the directions for the
activities, as well as the texts and the recorded material contained on the CD. The
exercise book with answer keys and a CD provide additional written and oral
practice. The pedagogical guide provides teaching suggestions, answer keys to
the textbook exercises and the transcription of the recorded material. A DVD and
