The Electronic Game Show (EGS) is an annual videogame exhibition held in Mexico since 2002. It was originally held at the World Trade Center in Mexico City from 2002-2007, and has been located at the Expo Bancomer in Santa Fe since 2008. While some major publishers like PlayStation and Nintendo no longer participate, EGS still features exhibitors like Xbox 360, Electronic Arts, and Activision showcasing new games. Attendees can play upcoming games and participate in tournaments. Some complaints arose about the new location being difficult to reach, but organizers provide shuttle service and EGS continues to preview new videogame titles.

Just as Europe has the Gamescom, an annual videogames
exhibition centered in the European area, Latin America has the Electronic Game Show, an annual event conducted in Mexico. EGS (Electronic Game Show) it´s a videogame exhibition that took place by the first time in 2002 by Jorge Lizárraga, Director of Oelli, and another group of industry experts. From 2002 to 2007 it was conducted at the World Trade Center and from 2008 and on at Santa Fe, at Expo Bancomer. Even though big names as PlayStation and Nintendo have dropped the EGS train, there are still exhibitors like Xbox 360, Electronic Arts, Activision, Konami, THQ and Warner Bros., among others. As well as try games like Call Of Duty: Black Ops before anybody, attendants can enter tournaments of Halo: Reach, PES 2011, FIFA 11, Medal Of Honor, UFC and Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Many videogame industry enthusiasts complained that the Electronic Game Show were organized at Expo Bancomer because it´s difficult to reach that place in town, now organizers offer a shuttle service departing from WTC, the former event spot. Even so, there are some who "feels" that the expo is not the same, but EGS still brings novelty games. http://www.luchalibrethegame.com/lucha-libre/
