PROS + CONS: The Cassida 6600 electronic money counter is a very good, ‘middle of the road’, bill counter suitable for most small to medium cash businesses counting between 1,000 and 10,000 bills each session. PROS Successful, multi-year brand life and domestic servicing make the Cassida line a good bet for the next few years.
Spare parts and cleaning tools for
servicing are included. Routine sensor cleaning should be done monthly. The top-loading feed design has a shorter learning curve than a back-loader, plus it offers a bit more hopper capacity.
The 6600′s smaller desktop footprint,
carrying handle, and relative light weight make it easy to store or to transport between locations. CONS: Depending on your environment, you may wish to locate a dust cover for this unit, as Cassida doesn’t offer dust covers. While Cassida has made an effort to upgrade the internal components of the 6600, compared to it’s white-colored competitors’ stock units, the feed gap and sensors may need some setup and calibrating to adjust for environmental factors, such as quality of bills, ultraviolet light- and magnetic- interference, and less-than-pristine work areas. This Cassida money counter utilizes Infrared technology which maximizes currency counting accuracy as well as half- and double- note detection.
