Appraisal System
• The Appraisal system used is Rating Scale
method.

Advantages:
• Simple to formulate/develop and administer.
• Time required is less.
• Used for large number of employees.
Disadvantages:
• Been subjective lower on accuracy.
• Same performance measures are not
applicable for different jobs.
• System not effective in different uses of the
appraisal system i.e. compensation,
placement etc
Appraisal system in use
• The Appraisal system in use to evaluate the
job satisfies the job nature.
• The performance measures/factors are
appropriate as per the job nature (shop floor)
• This system is suitable for the compensation
evaluation
• Not effective to evaluate the promotion
requirements, training required etc.
• Mrs. Yadav is very efficient employee.
• There should be interaction to know the
Mrs. Yadav point of view.
• Better training to be provided to help him
cope with the challenges of the job.
• Try to convince him that the present
position suits him and is a reward for the
god work done by him in past.
Solution
• Along with the present system individuals
feedback and requirements needs to be
taken.
• Promotions and transfers related issues
should be discussed with the individual.
• Proper training to be provided before putting
independent on the job
• Proper training evaluation to be done.
Solution
• For promotions at higher positions in the
hierarchy more evaluation parameters should
be used.
• Employees requirements and opinions should
be given higher priority.
