The promise

CD covers research and different poses:

I like the idea that every band member is posing

in a different way to the rest which shows the
creativity of the band. They are all spaced out
which needs to be reinforced in our CD cover
and the props of having chairs is a good idea as
the height off all the members looks the same
even though two of the band members are
posing more at the back whereas two are at the
front and one is in the middle which shows the
different levels created just by shooting a
picture. The reflection on the floor of the
picture is effective and looks more professional,
we will try to enhance this using Photoshop and
extra effects if possible. Having the band name
put at the back surrounding the girls is a clever
way to show that their band is popular and known as they don’t need to be showing the name
as everyone will already be aware, this would be easy to include in our finished cover. I like
the idea that the picture looks more like a box and they are all contained in it posing.

This is another inspiring CD cover as it’s

basically black and white and the clothing on the
band members are in colour which is an effective
way to catch peoples attention. There’s a flow in
the CD cover as the entire band members are
helping the theme out and the levels created in
the CD cover shows the balance. The steps that
have been pictured here can easily be re- created
in a local park or shopping centre but the effect
of black and white against the coloured clothing
can be achieved through photo shot or added
effects.
