need help with: we have too
many students who are not
eating breakfast who are then
complaining of stomach aches
and head aches. I did meet with
the kids to remind them to
please eat. Most of our
students qualify for free or
reduced costs. PLEASE
encourage the kids to eat - we
know that when students eat
breakfast the do better in
school.

1. Print a spelling word and cut
it apart letter by letter to make a
puzzle word. Have the student
scramble the letters and then
arrange them in the correct
order to spell the word.
2. Provide magnetic or felt
letters for your child to
sequence. supply the list of
words spelled correctly, and
allow your child to correct
his/her own words.
3. Finger Pointing. Check
spelling by running the index
finger under the word letter by
letter making sure the letters
match the sound.
