As I sit here and think about the last few days

The power of the rushing water

The wind beating down on my face

And seeing the dismay in the townsfolks eyes

I listen to the stillness just for a moment

And in this moment you can find peace even in the storm

You see over the horizon another round the second wave

Will the roads hold up

Can I drive through the fierce waters to make it home

Thats what this is all about home

I dont really have a place to call home yet

So I sit here thinking

When will it be my time to rise
To force myself down the hills and over the banks

To have everyone notice that I can overcome

That I can be someone great

Usually it only happens once in your life

Or just a few times in the year

But last year I did have that time once

When I got out of boot
Can home and showed the ones who said I couldnt make it

That I would fail

I showed them who I can be

I chiseled my body I beat it everyday

But now the storm has weathered me

Ive allowed people and things to bring me down

Im too much of a nice guy they say

So what I am who I am and I only strive to make myself better

I will not fail

I will move on
I will accomplish the things in life that are important

Placing myself on solid ground not sand

Thats what I think about as I pass by the roads and look around the area

Solid ground
A strong tower
A sanctuary from the things in life

I have that
I am protected by one who truly cares for me

My intuition or conscience shows me things

My God allows me to make the choice but always if I listen quietly and slow down I can really see the outcome
either way I go

So for now I leave with this note this opinion I have

That all things are connected

If you look enough and listen
You can learn for anyone
And from anything

All you have to do is try.
