The Mona Lisa
has been stolen, just as
she was getting ready to
travel to a museum for
an exhibition. Your job is
to find out as much
about the painting as
you can and then find
three other paintings that
can be used as her
replacement.
 Task
You will act as a
museum curator and
research other female
portraits that may be
suitable to be used in
the exhibition. In
addition, you will do as
much research on the
Mona Lisa as you can
in order to try and help
the police find her.
 Process

 Research the Mona Lisa and answer the
following:
• Who painted the Mona Lisa?
• What year was it painted?
• What country is the artist from?
• In what museum does the Mona Lisa permanently
reside?

2. Research and select three portraits to be used in
place of the Mona Lisa then answer the
following:

 Evaluation
 Once all the students have
completed their worksheets, they will
be shared with the class. The class
will then vote on the portrait that will
