Reasons for the limited success of WPM

 The inherent conflicts between

employees and management
 The general belief that the workers are
inferior to management
 The fact that the system is management
dominated
 The view that managers are averse to
share responsibility
Suggestions for the success of WPM
 There should be mutual trust and faith
among all the parties concerned
 There should be progressive management
in the enterprise and should recognize its
obligations and responsibilities towards
works and trade unions
 There should be strong democratic and
representative unions which should
represent the cause of workers without
neglecting the management interest
 All parties concerned towards
participative management should feel
that they should participate at all levels
 Both the parties should develop a
favourable attitude towards the schemes
and effective management
 Management and government should
provide training to prepare them for
participative management
