DEFINITION

 What are frequency adverbs?

 They are TIME adverbs used to


indicate HOW OFTEN you do
something.
e.g. “ We often play the piano”

USE

 We use FREQUENCY ADVERBS with Present


Simple tense

E.g. “ They always walk to school”.

POSITION

 Frequency
adverbs are placed:
a) before ordinary verbs
e.g. “He usually drives to work”
b) after the verb “to be”
e.g. “You are never late for school“
