Question:- 1)Think of a project at your organization & write about it in 5-6 lines.

Project: Anti-ageing Cream for men

We are leading players in the personal care industry. Two years back we launched this project for
anti-ageing cream for females. But now we want to extend our customer base and because of this
we are going to manicures and launch an anti ageing cream for men. As we can see that men are
also conscious about the way they look and they carry themselves. So this will be a perfect time to
focus on mail fraternity.

Question:- 2) Why this task is a project not a part of regular operations?

Ans.- It is a project because this assignment has a start and an end period, so it is a temporary or
non-routine in nature. Moreover this product is unique and new to the market. So right from the
concept, we can say that anti ageing cream for men is one time effort. And no need to launch this
same project again and again. The project on Manufacturing of anti-ageing cream is not short time in
nature.

Question:- 3) Define the start date and the tentative end date of the project?

Ans.- The start date is 14th Feb 2011. And the end date is 14th August 2011. The project has the time
period of six months.

Question:-4) Identify the traits of a project manager for this particular project?

Ans:- The traits of a project manager should be for this product are:-

i). Knowledge of beauty products existing in the market.

ii). Knowledge of Anti-Aging Products Preservatives.

iii). Ability to Get the project done – Successful project manager should have strong organisational
abilities and work habits. This means more than being able to plot tasks in Microsoft Project.

iv). Should be creative and confident enough so that he or she can think more about product
diversification.
