practice and a challenge activity of some kind. allowed
Homework will come home every week this year but will awhile
contain activities/projects that will often take two or three
weeks. Spelling words will come home to be practiced and then
be tested at school every Friday morning. canʼt

Get involved with their learning and help them with their chocolate
activities.You will need to give your child a note if for any

CHALLENGE Each word correctly spelt in the Friday spelling test is

worth 2 ticks.

You are stuck on an island in the middle of the ocean after the cruise
ship you were on was capsized by a giant tsunami. As far as you know
you are the only survivor out of your family. You must send for help but
all you have is a pen, a piece of torn, burnt and faded paper and a
bottle.
1. Write a message asking for help.
2. Write about where you think the island is in the
ocean.
3. Draw a detailed map of the island.
Once you have done these three tasks, put your message in a bottle
and bring it into school.
You will be given a mark out of 20 ticks for this activity based on Hand in homework on Friday 18th
your writing and presentation.
