What’s New? Happenings in Our Class


August Character Trait is This week we have begun our normal daily routines. Students are
COOPERATION!! adjusting well!! These are a few of the weekly routines that you
should know about:

Weekly Quizzes  AT HOME READING - your child should read at home for a
total of 100 minutes of reading per week. Please record the
Friday ~ Math Check Up, number of minutes read for the previous week in the Friday
Folder and return this folder on Monday.
Spelling Test, and Editing
Quiz.  DLR – each night your child will have five
grammar/language arts questions to answer. This is
homework and we will go over answers together each day in
class. There will be an Editing Quiz each Friday over the
Future Plans!
skills covered that week. In order to practice our cursive
Aug. 31-Boot Camp reading and writing the students will be required to complete
Sept. 6-No school the DLR homework in cursive each night. They will have a
Sept. 27-Grandparents Day cursive reference sheet in their binder.
