Hello Everyone!

Welcome to a new school year!

We are so excited to be your kids’ homeroom teachers. It’s going to be a


great year full with joy, fun, new friends, new learning and new adventures!
Let’s make an incredible year together!
An exciting year is ahead of us, as we work together to make learning a
positive experience for your children. Your involvement and consistent
monitoring of progress is a must in a success of your children and we
encourage you to take an active role in their education. Your children should
find school an exciting place for creating lifelong learners and readers.
Together we could make this time a successful step for your children.

This year we will have three PYP 4 class (Tokyo Havana and Brasilia) with
three homeroom teachers Ms. Alaa Moh, Ms Rabab and Ms Dalia.
We will have Mrs Asmaa Saied for Arabic, Mrs Noura Sarih for French, Ms
Mais for Math, Ms Marina for Music, Ms Merna for Art, Mrs Nehal the
librarian and captain Moh. Mehran for P.E.

During our first week, we will take our diagnostic tests for English and
Math. Also we will recap on what we have covered last academic year and
focus on the curriculum covered during the online sessions.

Moreover, we will start our first unit of inquiry by the beginning of October
and you will receive its unit letter once it begins.
In this letter you will find an overview of the work that your children will be
completing this year. Please find opportunities to support your children’s
learning by doing additional reading and writing work.

There are new agreements for homework so please read this section
carefully. It is very important to read daily with your child and discuss the
book with them. Please sign up in RAZ-KIDS website once you receive your
child’s username and password.

Please label your child’s (flask, jackets, lunchbox, masks, sanitizers and any
other supplies).

Spelling:
Weekly 2 spelling lists: Sunday (unit vocab and
Math) to be assessed on Thursday.
Thursday (phonics and sight words) to be
assessed on Sunday.

Homework Homework this year will focus on basic skills,
consistency and independency.
Children are expected to do the following:
• Daily reading (and discuss their reading)
• Practice spelling patterns\ phonics.
• 2-3 days\week homework.
• Commitment is a must and homework should be
sent on due.
• Any unqualified homework or many mistakes,
H.W will be sent back home.
• If the student delayed H.W twice, no break and
the student will spend his\her time finishing it.
The third time no P.E.
