CANCELLATION OF THE CANDIDATES’ GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND

GUARANTEE OF QUICK RESPONSE IN THE COMELEC

Promulgated: 10 February 2011

WHEREAS, according to the 2010 Electoral Code, stipulated in Article V, Section

4b:

The Ateneo COMELEC shall release the official list of candidates one (1)
working day after the General Assembly of candidates.

WHEREAS, the event set for the General Assembly was cancelled due to the
purpose of event being similar to the COMELEC web page.

WHEREAS, the COMELEC assures a quick response, within 14 hours, excluding

Sundays and holidays, in its web page.

NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers vested in it by the 2005 Constitution

of the Undergraduate Students of the Ateneo de Manila and the Sanggunian ng mga
Mag-aaral ng mga Paaralang Loyola ng Ateneo de Manila Electoral Code ratified on
July 26, 2010, the Ateneo Commission on Elections RESOLVED, as it hereby
RESOLVES, to promulgate the cancellation of the Candidates’ General Assembly and
guarantees a quick response to any queries that appear on its webpage.
