Toshiba
 Toshiba in Oct 2010 has
launched the first 3D
television sets that do not
require special glasses. (as
claimed by them)
 Toshiba said the smaller
version of its new sets will
cost about 120,000 yen
($1,400), and the larger
one will be double the
price.

 LG has launched the new
LZ9700, a 72-inch set that is
apparently the world’s
largest full LED-backlit LCD
3D TV and is powered by a
TruMotion 400MHz
processor.
 IT features an LED backlight
that is capable of displaying
3D as well as 2D images.
 Prices range from 264 GBP
to 749 GBP

 In January 2011 Philips
launched world's first
cinema proportion full
HD 3D LED Pro TV
 The ultra wide TV
matches perfectly with
the 21:9 movie format.
 The big 40 are sold for
about $12000 and the
smaller size 20 is shipped
for $3000.

 Sony has unfurled the
most awaited 3D TV set
which does not require
glasses
 Over the ongoing fiscal
year through 2011, Sony
is projected to sell
around 2.5 million 3D TV
sets

 Mitsubishi uses DLP rear-
projection technology from
Texas Instruments, rather
than LCD, LED or plasma.
 MDEA's 638 series is
available in 60, 65 and 73-
inch screen sizes ranging in
price from US$1,199 to
$1,999, while the 738 series is
also available in an 82-inch
screen size with prices
ranging from US$1,399 to
$3,799.
