DAY

1. Montage of shots;
JEROME, in the gym punching a punch bag in gym wear; CHELSEA, walking putting her lipstick on;
LIAM, on a laptop doing work;

2. PAIGE, is on the volleyball pitch talking on the phone to FLISS who is in her boarding room

PAIGE
Alright, you coming to volleyball?

FLISS
Yeah, was gonna sack it but I’ll be there.

PAIGE
Okay, hurry up, I’m here already.

FLISS
See you in a bit.

3. EXT. VOLLEYBALL COURT - DAY

TEACHER
Right if you can’t sort yourselves into groups, I’ll have to do it, so
Liam, Paige, Fliss, Jerome and... Umm Chelsea.

CHELSEA
Fucks sake, I’m not with you lot, bunch of losers.

JEROME
Let’s just get on with it, yeah?

FLISS to Paige
Can’t believe were with Chels – sigh.

LIAM
Jerome, will win this... ting?

Sniggers from the rest of the group; they obviously think he’s a bit weird.

View them playing, bumping into each other . Paige and Fliss miss the ball, as they are afraid.
 JEROME
Come on girls, play properly

CHELSEA lights up a fag to bring attention to herself.

TEACHER
What the hell do you think you are doing?
Get off the pitch; I’ll deal with you later.

CHELSEA
Whatever, you’re boring me.
(Storms off the pitch, to lie on the grass at the side.)

Whistle goes, half time

They all give up and lie down, alongside Chelsea.

Fliss and Paige start giggling at something immature.

JEROME
Eurgh, I can’t put up with this all term.

CHELSEA
I can’t put up with any of you

JEROME
Did anyone ask you?

CHELSEA
Twat (under her breath)

JEROME
Sod off,
you’re a dirty little chav that no one likes, so watch your mouth!

CHELSEA
Grrrhhhh...

Liam walks up to the teacher on his own.

LIAM
Sir, I can’t cope with this group is there any chance I could swap?

TEACHER
Just get on with it!
