iWork suite of productivity software and many more.
So now after eight years of rumour
and speculation about a tablet device
from Apple has come to an end, and
the most anticipated device is

The announcement was made by
Apple chief executive Steve Jobs at an
event in San Francisco.

It was widely accepted
that the iPad looks like a
larger version of the iPod
Touch, designed to
replace conventional
laptops or smaller
notebooks.

iPhone, people will be
able to watch movies,
play music, read books

Publishers are reportedly
looking to the machine to
start an explosion in ebook

newspaper sales - just what
the iPod did for the music
industry and the iPhone for
the telecom sector.
