Fire and Safety Awareness Session Report

For :- CSE III/IV Students
 Fire and safety session was started with main moto “Creating awareness among students how to
act during fire accidents and what safety measures to be taken.”
 He started the session by quoting recent examples of fire accidents in kumbakonam, Series
company ,EICL etc.
 He even stressed that it is quite important to woman too , as they work in kitchens.
 He mainly concentrated on 2 important points :
1. How to escape during fire accidents.
2. How to fight with fire bravely.
 He told us to make a phone call for 101(Fire Station),100(Police Station),108(Emergencey),near
by Traffic Police.
 He told us the various reasons why fire accidents happen in industries and organizations.
 He also quoted that 80% fire accidents happen during night.
 In the mean time ,he made us to listen few contextual songs(Telugu).
 He created fire and showed us how to stop it by using both cloth and BC gas cylinder.
 He described the chemical reaction of fire and told that avoiding any one from that ,we can get
rid of fire.
 Later he continued his discussion by telling about various types of cylinder we had
like(ABC,BC,A) and fuels.
 He later showed us Emergency alarm and told about its helpfulness.
 He told us about PASS formula that tells how to use the cylinders and showed practically.
 He even presented some statistics about how to maintain fire equipment in organizations and in
educational institutions.
 He told that when we were in helpless situation , we should escape from the place, he also
mentioned about the ways .
 He gave us benefits of the session like:-
1. Inclusion in Resume about the awareness we had about Fire accidents.
2. Would we helpful for every human being independent of the place he stays.
3. It is quite important because we never had in syllabus and we will never know it.
 He ended session by telling that actual cost of session per head ie., Rs.8,000(Committee in
Mumbai) and it is very fortunate that we had it for Free.
 Finally he asked that any of us had interest in taking a certificate for the awareness program we
had.(Rs50 was charged for Certificate).

We had a good interesting awareness session on Fire accidents and Safety.
