start at pondicherry. This Canadian author give you many smartest english. I liked it very much. I am still
reading it.

Paulo Coelhe did not wrote in english so you have to read translated version. I forgot the name which
version i read, i mean the name of the translator, search in gigapedia. The most common is the best one.
It is philosophical book in a small volume.... just 125pages.

will get an excellent picture of South india.
