Have you ever stood

with only the thumping bass of
your heart
rocking you to your core?
Pulsing energy a drum
driving thoughts to flee with
their strobe-light-like effect.
Out of body experience doesn’t
touch the surface
Out of mind
Out of soul
Out of mortal boundaries
There is a moment within
the rhythm
In between the beats
In between the breaths
In between the knowing
It is the oneness of self
with the self
The universe is weightless
it is alive inside
Swirling
Creating
Living
Loving.
