Prep and Review


Three active preparation strategies are to identify the important information. You can do this by
taking notes and highlighting information. Next you can condense the information by taking what you
read and putting it into your own words in a shortened, easier to remember version. You can also write
the information you’ve taken in. There are several different ways to do this by taking notes, preparing
word cards or even predicting questions in the margin.
