Who is a Guide ?
A tour guide or tourist guide is a person who leads
groups of tourists or individuals around a town,
museum, or other attractions. The guide provides
commentary on the features and history of the
location. The tours can be from as little as 10 – 15
minutes to extended periods over many days. Such a
person normally posses a qualification usually issued
by recognized by the appropriate authority

responsible for the administration and smooth
running of the tour fot its duration, and generally
stay with the group
Tour Director
The tour director is hired to travel with the group
on local, domestic and international programs,
tours and cruises. They take care of details that
include dealing with the airlines, hotels,
attractions, transportation companies and tour
members. As defined by the employer, the tour
director is to make sure the tour members get the
tour they paid for and more. The tour director
receives the group in the gateway city and ends
when you say good-bye to the tour.
