I. At Which Quadrant Would You Rather Be In?

This blog is inspired by the learning I got from the book of Robert Kiyosaki, Cash Flow Quadrant Chapter
2)

E Quadrant: Employees

Language Pattern: I am looking for a safe secure job with good pay and excellent benefits. I have a
pension plan to take care of myself when I get old.

Why do people from the E quadrant value security and benefits too much? According to Robert Kiyosaki,
the word “secure” is often used in response to their emotion of fear. They don’t want the feeling of
uncertainty, hence the desire for security. Moreover, the word “benefit” means they would also like an
additional reward such as an assured extra compensation, bonuses, and or retirement plans.

So if we are going to analyze, we see that what traps people in this quadrant are FEAR and GREED. In
my observation, they are so afraid to go out of their comfort zones and try something new because they
are so attached to their money, they can’t afford to lose it. They focus on the obstacle rather than learning
along the way. People are greedy in the sense that every year they are expecting the company to give
them a raise and/or promotion and if it doesn’t happens, they criticize their boss, the company, and the
government for not protecting them.

These people are the audience of the game. Most of them are happy watching what happens and to
criticize the players.

S Quadrant: Self Employed

Language Pattern: My normal rate is Php1000.00 per hour and my normal commission is 10% per hour. I
can’t seem to find people who want to work and do the job right. I want to be my own boss. I can do the
job myself better than anyone else.

Most of the people I know in this quadrant think that they are in business. They are so proud to tell you
that they are busy because they are running their business. It’s easy to tell that they are self-employed
and not a true businessman if they cannot leave their company for a year otherwise they have nothing to
go back to. Because they are part of the system, their business will not run without them. These people
think that they are the smartest and the best people
in their company that’s why they have a problem trusting people and delegating the responsibilities. The
problem is, the more their business improves, the more responsibility they get, and the more time they
need to give. What’s the price they are paying? Losing time to spend it with the people they love most and
doing things that matter to them most.

B Quadrant: Big Business Owner

Language Pattern: I am looking for the new President to run my company because why do it myself when
I can hire someone who can do it better?

The people in this quadrant have a wider and better understanding of business. They understand that the
system is very important for the business to keep it running with or without you as the owner. They love to
surround themselves with people that are smarter than them. They are very open to learning and
innovations.

Business people understand that time is more important than anything else and that’s why they build this
system so they can spend their time doing what they want to do in life. The most important skill in this
quadrant is leadership.

I Quadrant: Investors

Language Pattern: My cash flow is based on an internal rate of return or net rate of return. I don’t work
hard for money; I make money work hard for me.

Many would say that investing is risky, but Robert Kiyosaki’s "Rich Dad" emphasized that investing is not
risky; what's risky is the lack of education.

Most employees are so excited to jump into investing without understanding it. They don’t invest time for
their education, that’s why they sometimes end up being scammed. They want to get rich quick.

In ca2020, we will learn how to shift from Employee or Self-Employed quadrant where most of us are at
the moment to Business or Investment quadrant. People from E & S quadrant have a very different

II. The Power of Encouragement

Dante Gabriel Rossetti, the famous 19th-century poet and artist, was once approached by an elderly man.
The old fellow had some sketches and drawings that he wanted Rossetti to look at and tell him if they
were any good, or if they at least showed potential talent.

Rossetti looked them over carefully. After the first few, he knew that they were worthless, showing not the
least sign of artistic talent. But Rossetti was a kind man, and he told the elderly man as gently as possible
that the pictures were without much value and showed little talent. He was sorry, but he could not lie to
the man. The visitor was disappointed, but seemed to expect Rossetti's judgment.

He then apologized for taking up Rossetti's time, but would he just look at a few more drawings - these
done by a young art student? Rossetti looked over the second batch of sketches and immediately
became enthusiastic over the talent they revealed. "These," he said, "oh, these are good. This young
student has great talent. He should be given every help and encouragement in his career as an artist. He
has a great future if he will work hard and stick to it."

Rossetti could see that the old fellow was deeply moved. "Who is this fine young artist?" he asked. "Your
son?" "No," said the old man sadly. "It is me - 40 years ago. If only I had heard your praise then! For you
see, I got discouraged and gave up - too soon."

- Author Unknown

Do we add value to the people we meet or do we take their value away from them? Sometimes, we
unconsciously become a "dream stealer" when we tell them that what they are dreaming of are
impossible instead of encouraging them and believing in them.

Don't let the day end w/o encouraging someone, even if that someone is "yourself".

III. Dream Like a Child

Since we were kids, we were taught to see ourselves as having limits. Children are born free of mental
baggage. They see themselves as capable of doing anything and becoming what they choose. That’s
why as kids we dream of being astronauts or explorers or movie-stars. But as we get older – our minds
get shackled. We slowly give up our dreams to fear, worry, and those feelings are then lacking within us.
Due to negative feelings and fears – few of us attempt to dream BIG. Instead, we settle for the ordinary
things in life and as a result fall into the current reality trap.

How many dreams have you given up on?

The First Step, Deciding What You Want

Regardless of what may be going on in your life, I suggest that you take the time to build a very clear
image of the life you want.

The world and everything and everyone in it has a tendency to keep its attention jumping from one idea or
activity to another. There is no focus, no direction, and no stimulating, controlled thinking going on at all.
Many of us are not sure what we want and because of that we end up going nowhere.

Every time we dream of a new goal, we plant a little seed in the universe. Focusing and thinking on a goal
is like watering that seed. As we apply more thought to the goal, it finally begins to sprout and push out of
the ground.

To overcome indecision, think carefully about what you want. And stick to it as long as your feelings about
it remain positive.

The Second Step, Think BIG

Anything is within our field of possibility if we desire it strongly, believe in it, and take action towards it.

Now here’s why it’s important to think big. There is so much that can be improved in the world and much

Page | 2
GLOBAL ENTREPRENEUR
we can contribute. But we can't do this by being mediocre. Goals works best if we ask for something that
will not just benefit us, but others too. You owe it not just to yourself, but to the world to THINK BIG. A
good goal should be able to SCARE you a little and EXCITE you A LOT!

Step Three, Share Your Goals with the People

We all influence each other in profound ways. We can help one another attain a goal when everything is
in its proper place. But we can also create barrier for
one another when our goals pull us in different directions.

“You don’t get what you want … you get what you ARE.”- James Allen.

It means that the development of what lies there inside us will cause the manifestation of prosperity into
our material world.

You simply must Decide what it is you want…..

Ask, believing that you will receive it…

and then Open up and happily receive it.

We have the RIGHT to choose the ability we’re going to have … “Ask and it will be given.”

IV. Two frogs

A short inspirational story :Two frogs

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them
fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs saw how deep the pit
was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The
two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit
with all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop,
that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took
heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down
and died.

The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again,

the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He
jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the
other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?" The frog explained to
them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the
entire time.

Author Unknown

This story teaches two lessons:

1. There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging

word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it
through the day.

2. A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes

to kill them.

Be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your
path. The power of words... it is sometimes hard to understand
that an encouraging word can go such a long way.

Anyone can speak words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in difficult times. Special is the
individual who will take the time
to encourage another.

Make it a goal everyday to empower someone and add value to their lives rather than taking it.

"A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is braver five minutes longer."~Ralph Waldo Emerson~
Be brave enough in making your dreams come true.

V. Pursuing Our Dreams

As we are pursuing our dreams, we may have a few nagging doubts on our minds. We are often
confronted by the following questions:

Q. I’m having second thoughts and want to shelve everything. What should I do?

This is what I do. I give myself a breather by reading inspirational books and blogs. When I’m ready, I
revisit my dream and look back my reasons why I dream such thing. In CA2020 community, we have 101
reasons why we choose to be in business; they are my BIG WHY’s, my dreams for myself, my family, my
community, and my country, and my motivations. Every time I look at them, I ask myself, “Is there
something here that I can give up? The answer is always NONE. In that way, I start to regain my
strengths and enthusiasm to continue working for my dreams.

If I still feel overwhelmed, I break my plan into even smaller pieces. Pursuing our dream
shouldn’t stress us out. Let us be flexible and re-examining our desires every now and then and you will
make us succeed.

Q. How do I avoid the comments from people who say I’ll never achieve my dream?

There will always be dream-stealers that will try to convince us that our dream is unattainable. If we
believe we can achieve our dream, then this shouldn’t be a problem. We can then tell them that the
subject is off-limits but sometimes we cannot control the people around us, what we can control is our
reactions. Let’s take their comments and feedback constructively. We can choose to be surrounded with
people who believe in you. That is one reason why I join the core team.

Q. How can I plan my daily activities in such a way that it will yield expected results?

This is one of my problems. I did my daily detailed plan. I diligently followed it but I was frustrated
because I was not getting my expected outcome. When I asked my coach, what’s wrong with my
activities, He simply asked me “What is you goal or target result everyday?” I was not able to answer.
Reality came in; I don’t have clear goal everyday. He suggested that instead of following my written plan
everyday, I’ll do it the other way around. I should start with the goal, and then plan accordingly in such a
way that the goal will be attained. After all, what’s more important is the result. When I did it, it’s more
productive.

In ca2020 community, you will find mentors and coaches that will guide you along the way. You can
leverage from their experiences. It’s a matter of knowing where you want to go then after that, find
someone who is already there. They are our coaches.

Working in a team has a great advantage. As Mark Victor Hansen

defines “TEAM” as “Together Everyone Accomplishes Miracles.”

VI. Echo

Mountain Story
-- Unknown Author

"A son and his father were walking on the mountains.

Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" To his surprise, he hears the
voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"

Curious, he yells: "Who are you?" He receives the answer: "Who are you?"

And then he screams to the mountain: "I admire you!" The voice answers: "I admire you!"

Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!" He receives the answer: "Coward!"

He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?"

The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention."

Again the man screams: "You are a champion!" The voice answers: "You are a champion!"

The boy is surprised, but does not understand.

Then the father explains: "People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE.

It gives you back everything you say or do. Our life is simply a reflection of our actions.

If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart.

If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence.

This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life;

Life will give you back everything you have given to it."

YOUR LIFE IS NOT A COINCIDENCE. IT'S A REFLECTION OF YOU!"

"Let your life mean something. Become an inspiration to others so that they may try to do more and to
become more than they are today." ~Thomas D. Willhite~

There is no higher purpose than service to others.

VII. What is IGNORANCE Costing You?

The highest form of ignorance is to reject something you know nothing about.– Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

I came across an advertisement in Facebook that Rich Dad was going to have a workshop in Glen Ellyn,
Illinois. I did not waste any time, my husband and I registered for it. It was held on June 8th, 2010 at
Crowne Plaza Hotel, 1250 Roosevelt Road, Glen Ellyn, IL. It lasted 3 hours. Robert Kiyosaki was not
physically present at the event but he sent a very good speaker he trained for years. His name was
Chuck Stave. There were around 50 participants. Most of which were old, you can guess, those who had
just retired from employment.

The workshop started w/ a video presentation of Robert Kiyosaki discussing Rich Dad’s education. In his
speech, he repeatedly
emphasized the importance of Financial Education to people especially in the struggling economy. He
encouraged everyone to invest in our best asset, our Mind. Our education is the only weapon we'll get
that can't be taken away from us but rather can be shared to others.

Our school system provides academic education, professional education, but very little if added Financial
Education. How many professionals who are highly schooled struggling financially because of lack of
Financial
Education?

When the speaker asked the participants about their experiences, a lot of them have scary failures. A
couple lost $371,000, the money they got from retirement, when they invested it to a supposed stock
broker but turned out he was just a salesman. The salesman left them broke. They trusted their money to
that man because they didn't know what to do with it and they wanted it to last long.

Another story was about a woman who invested her $50,000 to the stock market in stocks recommended
by her friend. She purchased the stock at $70 per share, and the next day, it went up to $80, then to
$100, then the
value started to fall down. She started to worry, but didn't sell it because she thought the value would go
up again. She didn't know when to buy and sell the stocks because she couldn't predict the market, and
that was due to her lack of education. She ended up losing her hard-earned money and didn't even know
that in the stock market, it's not just buying and
selling; there are also "options".

There are many more stories of failures just because of lack of education. These incidents are just some
of the examples about money being lost because of simply being ignorant. I know many of us have lost a
lot too but we just don't realize it because we're still ignorant.

These are also reasons why Robert recommends being in business first before being an investor. If
you're investing, you should know what company to invest in and what is going on inside that company.
You will

only know that if you've been there.

What amazed me is that when Chuck started to introduce the 3-day workshop for intensive financial
education, everyone started to leave the room. You can tell they weren't sold on it. They just simply hated
promotion. It

Page | 5
GLOBAL ENTREPRENEUR
was funny when after my husband and I registered for the workshop, an old woman approached us and
asked why we wanted to attend the workshop. She asked what we understand the value of financial
education.

How many of us do not realize that what we don't know can cost us the most? We think that we don't
have money to buy books, attend seminars, and other events that could enhance our skills. Let us accept
that there are things that we need to know, for as Benjamin Franklin said, "The doorstep to the temple of
wisdom is a knowledge of our own ignorance".

"Nothing in the whole world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity". -
Martin Luther King, Jr.

"People always fear change. People feared electricity when it was invented, didn't they? People feared
coal, they feared gas-powered engines... There will always be ignorance, and ignorance leads to fear. But
with time, people will come to accept their silicon masters". Bill Gates

What is IGNORANCE costing you?

Start investing time now for financial education.

VIII. How Do You Build Your House?

Building A House

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house-
building business to live a more leisurely life with his wife and enjoy his extended family. He would miss
the paycheck each week, but he wanted to retire. They could get by.

The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go & asked if he could build just one more house as a
personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but over time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work.
He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end a
dedicated career.

When the carpenter finished his work, his employer came to inspect the house. Then he handed the front-
door key to the carpenter and said, "This is your house... my gift to you."

The carpenter was shocked!

What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so
differently.

Author: Unknown

So it is with us. We build our lives, a day at a time, often putting less than our best into the building. Then,
with a shock, we realize we have to live in the house we have built. If we could do it over, we would do it
much differently.

But, you cannot go back. You are the carpenter, and every day you hammer a nail, place a board, or
erect a wall. Someone once said, "Life is a do-it-yourself project." Your attitude, and the choices you
make today, help build the "house" you will live in tomorrow. Therefore, Build wisely!

IX. What is Your Retirement Plan?

Just 25-30 years ago, everyone talked about retirement with high expectations. Financial companies rode
the craze by creating financial products that supposedly would give financial freedom to Millions of
employees when they aged.

Now, the truth is revealed, the government has no funds necessary to support the retirees. They would
need new money from new employees to pay for the retirees and the cycle would go on.

GSIS and even the US Social Security System is bankrupt.

Now, is the time to have control over your financial future. We cannot rely for third party including the
government, to invest for us. We should be the one taking control. After all, it is our life and we are the
ones only responsible for it.

The greatest investment you can ever give to yourself is TIME. You need to invest time to grow personally

Page | 6
GLOBAL ENTREPRENEUR
so that you will have time and money freedom.

X. DON'T WE ALL?

I was parked in front of the mall wiping off my car. I had just come
from the car wash and was waiting for my wife to get out of work.
Coming my way from across the parking lot was what society would
consider a bum. From the looks of him, he had no car, no home, no clean clothes, and no money. There
are times when you feel generous but there are other times that you just don't want to be bothered. This
was one of those "don't want to be bothered times."

I hope he doesn't ask me for any money," I thought.

He didn't. He came and sat on the curb in front of the bus stop but he didn't look like he could have
enough money to even ride the bus.
After a few minutes he spoke. "That's a very pretty car," he said.
He was ragged but he had an air of dignity around him. His scraggly
blond beard keep more than his face warm. I said, "thanks," and continued wiping off my car.

He sat there quietly as I worked. The expected plea for money never
came. As the silence between us widened something inside said, "ask him if he needs any help." I was
sure that he would say "yes" but I held true
to the inner voice. "Do you need any help?" I asked. He answered in three simple but profound words that
I shall never forget. We often look for wisdom in great men and women. We expect it from
those of higher learning and accomplishments.

I expected nothing but an outstretched grimy hand. He spoke the three words that shook me. "Don't we
all?" he said.

I was feeling high and mighty, successful and important, above a bum
in the street, until those three words hit me like a twelve gauge shotgun.
Don't we all? I needed help. Maybe not for bus fare or a place to sleep, but I needed help. I reached in my
wallet and gave him not only enough for bus fare, but enough to get a warm meal and shelter for the day.

Those three little words still ring true. No matter how much you have, no matter how much you have
accomplished, you need help too. No matter how little you have, no matter how loaded you are with
problems, even without money or a place to sleep, you can give help.

Even if it's just a compliment, you can give that. You never know when you may see someone that
appears to have it all. They are waiting on you to give them what they don't have. A different perspective
on life, a glimpse at something beautiful, a respite from daily chaos, that only you through a torn world can
see.

Maybe the man was just a homeless stranger wandering the streets. Maybe he was more than that.

Maybe he was sent by a power that is great and

wise, to minister to a soul too comfortable in themselves.

Maybe God looked down, called an Angel, dressed him like a bum, then said, "go minister to that man
cleaning the car, that man needs help." Don't we all?

Author Unknown

It takes humility to admit that we all need help. Most people who said that they don't have difficulty giving.
We can always ask help and we can always give help, if we choose to.

XI. A life of Purpose

Every single thing that we see or hear, regardless of whether big or small is there for a purpose. If things
have purpose, so do we.

My mission in life is "To allow others to realize that they are great and that they have what it takes to
achieve their dreams for their own self, family, community and country."

Page | 7
GLOBAL ENTREPRENEUR
According to one of my mentors in business, we are already great, we are already perfect because we
have been created in the image and likeness of God. What we just need to do is rediscover that
greatness and perfection within us.

Most of the time, it is our own self that keeps us from rediscovering it. We tried a number of times and
failed, so we thought it is not for us or "ganito lang talaga ako". There is something that is always holding
us back, whether it's the business that we want to put up, the trip we have always wanted to do, the
person we wanted to talk to or be with, or the dreams we have always wanted to achieve. These wants
and dreams our the desires of our inner selves, this is our purpose, these are the things that make us
happy, but every time we tried to go for them, there is that thing that paralyze us, and as a result nothing
happens, the desired changes never took place.

There is no single answer as to what is holding us, it varies from person to person. Only one thing is sure,
we need to break it through if we want to live our purpose and realize our dreams.

Create Abundance Business Community provided me an avenue to discover that thing and break through
it. I have learned through the gatherings how to overcome obstacles that I have created myself.

XII. Pickup in the Rain

One night, at 11:30 PM, an older African American woman was standing on the side of an Alabama
highway trying to endure a lashing rain storm. Her car had broken down and she desperately needed a
ride. Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car. A young white man stopped to help her -
generally unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960s. The man took her to safety, helped her get assistance
and put her into a taxi cab. She seemed to be in a big hurry! She wrote down his address, thanked him
and drove away.

Seven days went by and a knock came on the man's door. To his surprise, a giant console color TV was
delivered to his home. A special note was attached. It read: "Thank you so much for assisting me on the
highway the other night. The rain drenched not only my clothes but my spirits. Then you came along.
Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying husband's bedside just before he passed away. God
bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving others."

Author: Unknown

If everyone does just these, the whole world will live in happiness.

I always encounter people complaining about their lives. It makes me think why most people are not
happy? And it boils down to one reason. They don't know their life's purpose or if they do, they are not
living it. For me, there is no higher purpose than service to others and adding value to their lives.

XIV. EAGLES IN A STORM

Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks?

The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings
so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring
above it.

The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that
bring the storm.

When the storms of life come upon us - and all of us will experience them - we can rise above them by
setting our minds and our belief to success. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God's
power to lift us above them.

God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in
our lives. We can soar above the storm.

Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them.

Worry never accomplishes anything. When you have a problem, it is best to concentrate on the solution to
that problem, not the problem itself. Rise above the storm, be BIGGER than your problems.

XV. How'd They Get So Rich?

I used to wonder how the rich gets richer while the poor gets poorer. From the very first day I decided to
be rich, I have constantly search for that secret formula. Now, I can confidently say that I've found it.

"Rich people are rich because they have added value to other people's lives."

According to Forbes 2009 billionaire's list, Bill Gates is the richest man in the planet with a net-worth of 40
Billion USD. He is rich because he has added value to other people's lives. If you want know how much
value he has added to, imagine an office without Microsoft, or you having no computer to browse
facebook or your favorite youtube video. He has done a tremendous job in simplifying complex tasks.

Henry Sy, the Philippines richest man with a net-worth of 3.5 Billion USD is another example. During his
time, one has to go to a store for his groceries, find a hardware shop for a light bulb, or go to a separate
movie house for a movie. He solved the problem of inconvenience by putting up SM malls. Now, you can
go to any of his malls and everything you need is there. In fact, even if you purchase nothing, you are
able to enjoy the air-conditioned air. The bottom line is: He is adding value to the lives of millions of
Filipinos. No wonder he is rich.

The reason why you are not yet wealthy is because you haven't added value to other people's lives. If you
are reading this and you discovered or you learned something, that means I have added value to your life
and because of that i believe that I will also be wealthy. It is now your turn to start adding value to other
people's lives by sharing what you have just found.

XVI. Checklist on How to be Ready and Evaluate Financial

Opportunities (Part 1)

Page | 9
GLOBAL ENTREPRENEUR

If you think you deserve more than a paycheck every month and more time for your loved ones, business
is for you.

Here is a simple checklist on how to get ready for the opportunity. Ask yourself the following questions:

1. What do I want? Knowing what you truly want in your life will lead you to clarity of your purpose in life.
After knowing what you want, ask yourself why you want such a thing. You must know why it is important
for you because there’s going to be a lot of work, a lot of sweat, and a lot of tears. The easiest way is to
give up and go back to your comfort zone. The bigger the WHY, the easier the HOW.

2. How much time do I have? You can start part-time or full-time, but be honest about the time you have.
Remember, there are other things that happen in your life and starting a business does take time. You
can do it part-time or full-time but never some time. It is also important for the business that you can do it
wherever you are in any part of the world.

3. How much money do I have? You can start a business for a million dollars or you can start a business
even from zero personal capital. If you have millions, then that’s great. You could franchise Jollibee,
McDonalds, and the like. But if what you have is a strong desire, then there’s a proven system that can
help you start a business even from zero personal capital. All it takes is the burning desire, a big dream,
and a commitment. Remember that how much money you do have does not necessarily equate to how
much money you will make.

XVII. Checklist on How to be Ready and Evaluate Financial

Opportunities (Part 2)
Now that you know who you are and where you stand, you now have to decide if the opportunity is the
right vehicle for you to take you to what it is you want. Here’s a simple checklist for evaluating any
opportunity.

1. Is there the possibility of earning passive income? It’s important to have passive income because if you
don’t, that’s just a job. For me, I want a business that I can personally walk away from. You need time to
grow yourself, to venture another business, to travel with your family, to play golf, or whatever it is that
you love to do, and most of all to be with your family without worrying about money.

2. Has it been in business for a year? What makes a business run and survive despite the ups and downs
of the economy is the system. It has to have a proven system to reduce the risk. You don’t have to be the
pioneer who gets the arrow in the back. You can come in when the opportunity is proven and has made
an impressive performance in the market.

3. Do you believe in the product, the mission and the vision of this opportunity? If you don’t, it’s a waste of
time. You’re mission and vision in life should also align on the company’s mission and vision. Doing the
things that you love is like fulfilling your purpose in life, and it doesn’t seem like work.

4. Does the business matter? Does it make a difference in the world? This may seem a little odd, but no
business survives if it doesn’t make any difference. It’s going to get harder and nobody who starts any
business ends up having everything always turn out great. When it gets hard, you’re going to have to
know that what you do matters to a lot of people so you can stick it out and make it happen.

5. How big is the market? This is very important for me because having a global market means global
impact. This also means that people around the world benefit from your services and products. And I also
want the business that I can take with me wherever I live and wherever I go. Imagine if I have a grocery
store or a food cart business (this is just an example, I have nothing against these kind of businesses)
and I have an opportunity to live abroad, I cannot take it with me. I need to sell it or let others take care of
it.

XVIII. How Much Do You Make An Hour?

How Much Do You Make An Hour?

With a timid voice and idolizing eyes, the little boy greeted his father as he returned from work, "Daddy,
how much do you make an hour?" Greatly surprised, but giving his boy a glaring look, the father said:
"Look, son, not even your mother knows that. Don't bother me now, I'm tired." "But Daddy, just tell me
please!? How much do you make an hour," the boy insisted.

The father finally giving up replied: " Twenty dollars per hour." "Okay, Daddy? Could you loan me ten

Page | 10
GLOBAL ENTREPRENEUR
dollars?" the boy asked. Showing restlessness and positively disturbed, the father yelled: "So that was the
reason you asked how much I earn, right?? Go to sleep and don't bother me anymore!"

It was already dark and the father was meditating on what he had said and was feeling guilty. Maybe he
thought, his son wanted to buy something. Finally, trying to ease his mind, the father went to his son's
room.

"Are you asleep son?" asled the father. "No, Daddy. Why?" replied the boy partially asleep. "Here's the
money you asked for earlier," the father said. "Thanks, Daddy!" rejoiced the son, while putting his hand
under his pillow and removing some money. "Now I have enough! Now I have twenty dollars!" the boy
said to his father, who was gazing at his son, confused at what his son just said. "Daddy could you sell
me one hour of your time?"

Many of us haven't spent a lot of time w/ our family because we become too busy working for money.
Time freedom belong to those who are financially free.

XIX. Multiple Streams of Income

Did you know there are only 3 types of income earning strategies?

Strategy #1 – What 96% of the population does.

In the first instance, you trade your time for money.

This strategy does NOT work. It has an inherent problem… you run out of time. If you are able to put any
money away using Strategy 1 it’ll be at the expense of your life. You’ll be compromising the house you
live in, the car you drive, and the vacations you take, as well as your family time, and more.

People doing this strategy might be rich but are not wealthy. They belong to the “E” and “S” quadrants.
Some using this strategy sacrifice themselves by choosing to be apart from their family by working
abroad. They are the ones who work for money.

Strategy #2 – What 3% of the population does.

In the second instance, you’re using money to generate more money. Whether it’s investments in the
property market or stocks, you make your money work for you through your own business or someone
else’s and collect the returns.

Some are lending money to people in exchange of an interest. Some formulate cooperatives that would
financially assist those who want to start small businesses by lending them money for capital.

Simple as it sounds, very few people do this.

Strategy #3 – What the wiser 1% of the population does:

This is the most powerful strategy of them all… when you multiply your time. In this situation, you’re no
longer restricted by geographic boundaries or physical form. You’ve created several revenue streams by
creating Multiple Sources of Income (MSI).

Like me, I am a teacher, if I teach 8 hours a day, I would probably be handling 6 sections. In a public
school, there are 60 or more students in each section. So in one day, I can only touch 360 lives. But if I’m
going to build a school, how many times do you think I will multiply myself? The same applies if you are a
nurse, a doctor, etc.

It is important to become very familiar with the term "MSI" because it will lead you to complete financial
independence.

As soon as you change your mindset, you instantly move from being an employee, or from being a single
and small business owner — into being a person with Multiple Streams of Income. This mind-shift causes
even more income streams to be drawn towards you. It’s the "Law of Attraction" at work.

How does this law work?

Stop! It’s not enough to think in a certain way. You must follow it up with actions. Thought forces the
universe to move in your direction but action causes the real wealth to flow. Thought and personal action

Page | 11
GLOBAL ENTREPRENEUR
must be combined. The bountiful rewards behind value (you can only get what you want when you begin
to act as this resource).

I am applying the 2nd and 3rd strategy. I invest money through my brother who is a fund manager and
he's investing it to stock market. But Robert Kiyosaki, whom I consider my mentor, suggested to start
being in the B quadrant before proceeding to the I quadrant. To do that, I join Create Abundance
Business Community and do business with them. Our stage 1 business is Innovative Franchising, but
what I like most is the personal growth I'm getting and the mentoring.

XX. Paid In Full

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful
sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he
wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the
car.

Finally, on the morning of his graduation, his father called him into his private study. His father told him
how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a
beautifully wrapped gift box. Curious, and somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and
found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name embossed in gold. Angry, he shouted at
his father and said "with all your money, you give me a Bible?" and stormed out of the house.

Many years passed and the young man had become very successful in business. He had a beautiful
home and wonderful family, but realized his father now was getting old, and thought perhaps he should
go see him. He had not seen him since that graduation day.

Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and
willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things.

When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search
through his father's important papers and saw the still gift-wrapped Bible, just as he had left it years ago.
With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages.

His father had carefully underlined a verse, Matt.7:11, "And if ye, being evil, know how to give good gifts
to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly Father which is in Heaven, give to those who ask
Him?" As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's
name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had wanted. On the tag was the date of his graduation,
and the words PAID IN FULL.

XXI. Why Did I Choose to be in the "B" Quadrant?

(This blog is inspired by the learning I got from chapter 1 of Robert Kiyasaki’s book, "Cashflow
Quadrant".)

I’ve been working for 10 years but I always feel that something is missing in my life. Yeah, being a
teacher is a noble job. It’s very rewarding every time my students say thank you and that they learned a
lot from me. I always feel a sense of contentment every time I see them smile while they receive their
medals, awards, and diplomas. But time came when I began to ask myself, “What kind of help I give to
my students? What kind of life am I promoting to them? How did I teach them to face life?

As a teacher, I feel the scarcity of things. My salary wasn’t even enough to sustain my needs and to
extend it to my parents and relatives. I don’t want my students to have the same life when they go out
from school. I want to promote an abundant life but I know I cannot teach what I don’t have. This made
me decide to change quadrants. I started being an entrepreneur to grow myself. I wanted to teach people
the reality of life, as well as something that would really benefit them when they face the challenge of life.
My core values, strengths, weaknesses and interests lead me to this
quadrant.

Changing quadrants is a change of avenues of growth, challenge, financial reward and personal
happiness. In the “B” quadrant, I found my purpose in life, which is to empower and make people realize
that we can live an abundant life.

In the B quadrant, I learned that it does not take formal education to make money. It only takes a dream
and a lot of determination and commitment to achieve the realization of your dreams. It also takes a
willingness to learn the ability to use our God-given assets properly, and to solve problems and add value

Page | 12
GLOBAL ENTREPRENEUR
to people’s lives.

Yes, I agree that LIFE is more important than money but MONEY is important to support life. My decision
to change quadrants is not so much about what I want to do, but more of who I want to become as the
years go by.

As time passes, I’ll have more time to do the things that matter to me a lot. These are:

1. Having lots of time to take care of my husband and kids.

2. Having lots of time to be with my parents as they grow older and take care of them personally.

3. Having money to build a bigger Church in our place.

4. Having money to build schools all over the Philippines that teaches spiritual and financial education at
the same time.

5. Having lots of money to start my own foundation, to donate to charities, and to the projects that I
support.

6. Creating opportunities for people by bringing jobs and financial security to those who choose security
over freedom.

7. Having time and money to take care of my health and my family.

8. Having time and money to travel around the world with the people that matter most to me.

9. Having time to play with my kids and to guide them as they grow up.

10. Having time and money to focus on personal and national development.

Now, as I am working on my financial freedom, I am investing my time to have more time in the future.
Here, in the community, we give ourselves 2-3 years to work and after that have all of our time ready to
be spent for those things we want to do in life.

What do you choose? Working for 3 years and enjoy the rest of your life? Or work for 40 years until you
reach the age 60-65 and no longer have more time to enjoy life?

I want to share this poem to you.

First, I was dying to finish my high school and start college.

And then I was dying to finish college and start working.

Then I was dying to marry and have children.

And then I was dying for my children to grow old enough so I could go back to work.

But then I was dying to retire.

And now I’m dying. Suddenly I realized that I forgot to live.

XXII. Puppies for Sale Story

Puppies for Sale

A store owner was tacking a sign above his door that read "Puppies For Sale." Signs like that have a way
of attracting small children and sure enough, a little boy appeared by the store owner's sign. "How much
are you going to sell the puppies for?" he asked. The store owner replied, "Anywhere from $30-$50."

The little boy reached in his pocket and pulled out some change. "I have $2.37," he said. "May I please
look at them?" The store owner smiled and whistled, out of the kennel came Lady, who ran down the aisle
of his store followed by five teeny, tiny balls of fur. One puppy was lagging considerably behind.

Immediately the little boy singled out the lagging, limping puppy and said, "What's wrong with that little
dog?" The store owner explained that the veteriarian had examined the little puppy and had discovered it

Page | 13
GLOBAL ENTREPRENEUR
didn't have a hip socket. It would always limp. It would always be lame. The little boy became excited.
"That is the little puppy that I want to buy." The store owner said, "No, you don't want to buy that little dog.
If you really want him, I'll just give him to you."

The little boy got quite upset. He looked into the store owner's eyes, pointing his finger, and said, "I don't
want you to give him to me. That dog is worth every bit as much as all the other dogs and I'll pay full
price. In fact, I'll give you $2.37 now, and 50 cents a month until I have him paid for."

The store owner countered, "You really don't want to buy this little dog. He is never going to be able to run
and jump and play with you like the other puppies."

To this, the little boy reached down and rolled up his pant leg to reveal a badly twisted, crippled left leg
supported by a big metal brace. He looked up at the store owner and softly replied, "Well, I don't run so
good myself, and the little puppy will need someone who understands!"

Sometimes we forget to see what's good in a situation bec. we are condition to spot what's wrong or what
could go wrong.

We see what we choose to see. Do you have a new set of eyes? Do you see what most people don's
see?

XXIII. What Do Millionaires Have in Common?

As I was browsing the internet, that statement caught my attention. A survey revealed that the US
statistics of successful people is: 5% successful, 95% unsuccessful. These, of course, are US statistics.
In the rest of the world, especially a developing world like the Philippines, the situation is far worse. But
What Makes this 5% Different?

-There are millionaires with college degrees, and millionaires with little education.

-Millionaires who were born rich, and millionaires who were once dead-broke and homeless.

-And also millionaires in rich countries, but also others in poor nations.

-Plumbers who are millionaires, and doctors or attorneys who starve.

Not a single quality that stands out among the wealthy except ONE…

All have the MILLIONAIRE MINDSET. Their language is ABUNDANCE.

Millionaires understand the abundance is there for the taking. It's not a win-lose situation – there's enough
for everyone. We can all be rich. But we must learn to harness the correct thought process to attract
wealth.

Wealthy people know that it requires wealth to do great things. They know that the good you can do
without money is confined to your own physical presence in a given place. To extend beyond your
physical presence requires money. At some point in their lives, they made the decision to extend beyond
their physical boundaries – to increase their service to a larger audience in need of their product or
service. And, in doing so, riches inevitably came their way.

So why focus on money? Money on its own is neither good nor bad. It is a means to an end. However,
there is an urgent need for teaching the laws of creating money to the world. Poverty is getting worse.
Problems are everywhere. We need more people to be part of the solution rather than the problem. Who
are these people? They are the entrepreneurs. They understand getting rich is not just about money, but
it’s about adding value to other people’s lives and solving problems.

Getting rich is proportionate to the problem you solve and the value you add to other people's lives.

It’s Not Just About Money – It is also the character you become as you contribute to other people.

XXIV. To a Child LOVE is Spelled T-I-M-E

To a Child LOVE is Spelled T-I-M-E Story

In the faint light of the attic, an old man, tall and stooped, bent his great frame and made his way to a

Page | 14
GLOBAL ENTREPRENEUR
stack of boxes that sat near one of the little half-windows. Brushing aside a wisp of cobwebs, he tilted the
top box toward the light and began to carefully lift out one old photograph album after another. Eyes once
bright but now dim searched longingly for the source that had drawn him here.

It began with the fond recollection of the love of his life, long gone, and somewhere in these albums was a
photo of her he hoped to rediscover. Silent as a mouse, he patiently opened the long buried treasures
and soon was lost in a sea of memories. Although his world had not stopped spinning when his wife left it,
the past was more alive in his heart than his present aloneness.

Setting aside one of the dusty albums, he pulled from the box what appeared to be a journal from his
grown son's childhood. He could not recall ever having seen it before, or that his son had ever kept a
journal. Why did Elizabeth always save the children's old junk? he wondered, shaking his white head.

Opening the yellowed pages, he glanced over a short reading, and his lips curved in an unconscious
smile. Even his eyes brightened as he read the words that spoke clear and sweet to his soul. It was the
voice of the little boy who had grown up far too fast in this very house, and whose voice had grown fainter
and fainter over the years. In the utter silence of the attic, the words of a guileless six-year-old worked
their magic and carried the old man back to a time almost totally forgotten.

Entry after entry stirred a sentimental hunger in his heart like the longing a gardener feels in the winter for
the fragrance of spring flowers. But it was accompanied by the painful memory that his son's simple
recollections of those days were far different from his own. But how different?

Reminded that he had kept a daily journal of his business activities over the years, he closed his son's
journal and turned to leave, having forgotten the cherished photo that originally triggered his search.
Hunched over to keep from bumping his head on the rafters, the old man stepped to the wooden stairway
and made his descent, then headed down a carpeted stairway that led to the den.

Opening a glass cabinet door, he reached in and pulled out an old business journal. Turning, he sat down
at his desk and placed the two journals beside each other. His was leather-bound and engraved neatly
with his name in gold, while his son's was tattered and the name Jimmy had been nearly scuffed from its
surface. He ran a long skinny finger over the letters, as though he could restore what had been worn
away with time and use.

As he opened his journal, the old man's eyes fell upon an inscription that stood out because it was so
brief in comparison to other days. In his own neat handwriting were these words:

Wasted the whole day fishing with Jimmy. Didn't catch a thing.

With a deep sigh and a shaking hand, he took Jimmy's journal and found the boy's entry for the same
day, June 4. Large scrawling letters, pressed deeply into the paper, read:

Went fishing with my Dad. Best day of my life.

When we were kids, how many times our parents missed important activities in school, important activity
in our lives because they are too busy at work, having OT, working abroad, on business travel, ect? How
did we feel?

In our lives now, how many times we missed important events of our kids, siblings, and love ones
because of the same reason?

Why can't we live an abundance life at the same time spend it w/ the people that matters to us most? It's
time for Financial and Time Freedom.

XXV. 10 Ways to Add Value to Other People's Lives

How do you empower people?

As we learn and try to grow for ourselves, it is important to note which environment is suitable for us. Who
and what we surround ourselves with has a great deal to do with creating an environment that either
teaches us to be all we can be, or sabotages us in this effort.

The time was right for me when I found the right environment that would support me as I go through this
change. I have been privileged to know these very inspiring people. They come

Page | 15
GLOBAL ENTREPRENEUR
from diverse backgrounds and wear an invisible “inspiration cloak” of their own.

Inspiring and empowering people have the ability to:

-Do something which captures our mind and stirs our hearts.

-Inspire confidence.

-Inspire a self-generated force that motivates us to take action.

-Makes things happen to make a difference in the world.

For a long time, I wondered how to start living my life’s purpose. I wondered how some people managed
to do it. It took me some time to realize that inspiring and empowering others is NOT just some divine gift
bestowed upon specific people; it’s a gift we all possess.

There is a reason why people cheer in Manny Pacquiao’s fights, cry at sad movies, and laugh at jokes.
We are all affected by each other. Your actions make a difference in my life and my actions make a
difference in your life. As a result, certain vital actions can inspire and motivate others. We can do it by
applying the following:

1. Make a small difference in someone’s life every day: It can be as simple as helping a total stranger or
an act of appreciation. We can also do this by making sure that every person we speak to learns
something from us that would be very beneficial for their personal and financial growth. They may resent
what we say because we know the truth hurts but that doesn’t matter. What’s important is we speak to
their core and spirit and at the end of the
day, that will create an impact in their lives.

2. Trust Yourself: If you don’t believe in yourself, why would anyone else? Have confidence in your
abilities. We all have something we are good at. For as long as you put your heart into it, you have the
ability to make important changes. Believing oneself is very important because it constitutes our inner
self. We know that what goes on inside will reflect on the outside and we will see it in our results.

3. Keep your word: Your reputation can take you places or bar you from them. If you say you will do
something, DO IT! Don’t commit to something you can’t follow through, as it will create hairline fractures
in your trustworthiness. Also, in business, credibility is very important. You may have a very good
business but if you don’t have the credibility, no other businessmen will trust you. Businessmen don’t buy
your business, they buy your credibility. In the world of business, you won’t survive if you’re working
alone.

4. Be a good communicator: Increasing your ability to communicate effectively is a critical element to

inspire others. Learn to listen more and speak less. Pay close attention to both what you say and how you
say it. Be conscious of your expressions and hand gestures. Your body language and tone of voice will
give you away!

5. Get better at giving feedback: Be generous with words of praise. Give credit where credit is due,
including a tap on the person's shoulder for a job well done. If you have to criticize, do it gently and give
suggestions for improvement. When you assess, make it grounded so that the person knows your basis.

6. Give people confidence to reach their full potential: Fear is one of the main elements that prevent us
from doing our best. From time to time, we all need some encouragement and a “gentle push” to do our
best. This is the reason why people stop only in “knowing” things because they let their fear stop them
from “doing” it. That is why it pays to have mentors who always empower you.

7. Share from your own experience: You have certain experiences that are unique to you. Stories are a
way of revealing who we are and how we think. Stories allow you to point out behaviors and values
without sounding as if we’re bragging or giving a lecture.

8. Be vulnerable: No one is perfect. When mistakes occur, graciously accept the consequences and make
the necessary improvements.

9. Develop a sense of humor and staying positive: Finding humor in things is one of life’s greatest
pleasures. Most people are drawn to a person who can make them laugh; a person with a good sense of
humor is a joy to be around. We can also do this by staying positive in spite of what happens. We love to
be with people who make us feel good.

10. Refrain from having a victim attitude: I always emphasize this in my blogs because this is very

Page | 16
GLOBAL ENTREPRENEUR
common to people. Complaining, justifying, and blaming most often affect the people who surround you
and are close to you. These attitudes start a negative feeling, thus, producing negative results.

The personal benefit, however, is huge in terms of how you’ll feel when you go to bed at night. It really is
a nice feeling to realize that you have made a positive difference in the life of another human being.
Sometimes the people you help will know it was you who did it, and other times they will never know.
Sometimes your efforts are noticed and appreciated; other times they are not. None of this matters. All
that matters is that you know and that you get the positive feelings from that result.

If you are undergoing change now because you are starting to learn new things and find it hard because
of the negative people around you, I suggest changing your environment.
Go back to that environment when you feel you’re strong enough and well-founded
and you're sure to influence them instead of them influencing you.

Who are the most inspiring people in your life? What distinguishes them from the rest of the crowd?

XXVI. The Fence

The Fence

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that
every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the fence. The first day the boy had driven 37
nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails
hammered daily, gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive
those nails into the fence.

Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father
suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper. The days
passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.

The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said "you have done well, my son, but
look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave
a scar just like this one." You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won't matter how many times you
say I'm sorry, the wound is still there. Make sure you control your temper the next time you are tempted to
say something you will regret later.

Let's make it sure that everyday in our lives, we add value to other people's lives instead of making them
feel small. Attitude is contagious. We reap what we sow.

I share to inspire and Empower.

XXVI. Limiting Habits

How many of us want to start BIG things in your life, yet we are stopped by certain things? In everything
we do, having the right mindset is essential. As the Process of Manifestation states:

Thoughts---> Feelings ----> Actions----> Results

The one major factor that separates the most successful people from the rest begins with a single
"thought". Thinking BIG is a habit that we naturally grow and develop over time. It's a habit that allows us
to stretch our imaginations and expand our personal potential. This is all good, though, because thinking
BIG will never become a reality for any of us if we continue to indulge on the following limited habits that
ironically force us to think small:

• Procrastination - Holds you back and pulls you away from the forward movement of life. This is very
common to us. We wait until tomorrow what we can do today. The danger is “tomorrow never comes”.

• Short-term Thinking - Denies you the ability to see solutions that lie a few steps ahead. Poor people
think short-term and rich people think long-term. If we focus on the lower level of "Maslow’s Hierarchy of
Needs", we are far from becoming a BIGGER person. The key is, target the very top and every level
thereafter becomes satisfied.

• Negative Thinking - Prevents you from seeing things that are possible to do now and in the future. We
often create stories in our mind before we start doing things. There are so many "what if's" and fears of

Page | 17
GLOBAL ENTREPRENEUR
the unknown. We love ourselves too much that we don’t want to experience pain. But no one can
succeed without experiencing failure. That’s why, as we do this, we have mentors for us to gain leverage
on their wisdom and experiences.

• Making Excuses - Focuses on what we don’t Want instead of what We do Want. We should be careful in
regards to this because the Law of Attraction says, “What we focus on, expands”. This is somewhat
related to the victim attitude via justification. It's a sign of irresponsibility and therefore, we then become
irresponsible of the current status of our lives because we're afraid of change and going out of our
comfort zone.

• Solving Insignificant Problems - Distracts you from what’s most important and from the BIGGER picture.
Every time I encounter a problems, I always hear what my mentors have to say:

-Don’t focus on the problem. Instead, focus on the solution.

-WOW challenge! This is another opportunity to grow.

-Every problem has a solution. There are 101 solutions to every

problem. Go look for them.

-Exercise an entrepreneurship mindset. The more problems you

solve the wealthier you become.

• Over-Analyzing Things - Wastes time and energy on small matters that are of little significance. This is
known as "analysis paralysis". You don’t have to see everything to start acting on it. As you go along the
process, you'll learn something that will guide you as you proceed further.

• Seeking Perfection - Forces you to dabble in things over and over again in an attempt to achieve the
impossible. We often hear the saying, “Nothing and no one is perfect”, but we are looking for it. We are
learning from imperfection and it gives us new knowledge that will help us grow and become a better
person.

The above-mentioned habits will constrict our ability to think BIG about our life and circumstances. They
force us to think small, to think about those insignificant events and circumstances in unproductive ways,
thus, draining all our creative energies from the inside out.

Why does Create Abundance dream of a First World Philippines?

We think BIG and we think global because our business is global. We have members from other countries
and we continue to expand.

We must think BIG without any reservations and without any hesitation in order to contribute more, learn
more, become more, and stretch ourselves and our own abilities beyond our current psychological
limitations.

Which of the above mentioned limiting habits you have?

An old story is told of a king in Africa who had a close friend with whom he grew up. The friend had a
habit of looking at every situation that ever occurred in his life (positive or negative) and remarking, "This
is good!"

One day the king and his friend were out on a hunting expedition. The friend would load and prepare the
guns for the king. The friend had apparently done something wrong in preparing one of the guns, for after
taking the gun from his friend, the king fired it and his thumb was blown off. Examining the situation the
friend remarked as usual, "This is good!" To which the king replied, "No, this is NOT good!" and
proceeded to send his friend to jail.

About a year later, the king was hunting in an area that he should have known to stay clear of. Cannibals
captured him and took him to their village. They tied his hands, stacked some wood, set up a stake and
bound him to the stake. As they came near to set fire to the wood, they noticed that the king was missing
a thumb. Being superstitious, they never ate anyone that was less than whole. So untying the king, they
sent him on his way.

As he returned home, he was reminded of the event that had taken his thumb and felt remorse for his
treatment of his friend. He went immediately to the jail to speak with his friend. "You were right," he said,
"it was good that my thumb was blown off." And he proceeded to tell the friend all that had just happened.
"And so I am very sorry for sending you to jail for so long. It was bad for me to do this."

"No," his friend replied, "This is good!" "What do you mean,'This is good'? How could it be good that I sent
my friend to jail for a year?" "If I had NOT been in jail, I would have been with you."

XXVII. This Is Good

What differs the successful people from those who fail? It's the way they see things. Successful people
always see opportunities in every failure. They understand that everything happens has it's own purpose.

XXVIII. SUCCESS Formula

Many would say that what they really want in life is to be successful. But what really is SUCCESS? Is
success measured by how much money you have? How happy you are? How satisfied? Is success really
just up to you?

Merriam-Webster defines success as: noun: 1) satisfactory completion of something. 2) the gaining of
wealth and fame. 3) one that succeeds.

I especially like the first definition. Success is the "satisfactory completion of something", but the
satisfactory completion of what? I've come up with this formula:

Success = Goal x Actions x Achievement

Success is the result of your actions multiplied by your goals multiplied by the number of times you
achieve your goals. In other words, the more actions you take, the more goals you will achieve, the more
successful you are.

But what about the second definition? It says "the gaining of wealth and fame". Can you really be
successful without wealth and fame? I don't think so. However, the way you define wealth and fame is
very important in determining your personal vision of success. What is wealth and fame for me?

Wealth for me means abundance. It is having abundance in each of these areas: material, mental,
emotional and spiritual. What constitutes abundance in each area depends entirely on your personal
needs and desires. Fame is the people you know and the people who know you. You need people who
need your services, and you need people who can help you create and deliver those services.

I'd have to say that to be successful, you have to develop wealth and fame. The rest is really up to you!
This is why goals are so important. You decide exactly what your goals and ambitions are. The more you
design goals and act on it in accordance to your vision of success, and the more you achieve your goals,
the more successful you will become. That's why someone may have a lot of money without feeling
successful because money became their ultimate goal. However, if you already have plenty of it, money
loses its value. So it’s very important to know why you want it. It is like knowing you purpose in life.

On the other hand, you may be very well respected and admired and feel a great spiritual connection with

the universe, but if you don't have enough money you may end up feeling like a failure.

So how can we become successful? Simply know your purpose, DECLARE it, PLAN & EXECUTE. The
beauty of knowing your goal is you can evaluate your actions each day if they are leading you towards
your goal.

Of course, things don't always go the way you planned. One of the most interesting traits of successful
people I've found is that successful people fail...a lot! They're also the ones who pick themselves up and
dust themselves off.

Keep setting goals by breaking up your big goal into smaller ones. Keep achieving as many goals as
possible everyday. Inevitable failures become part of the learning curve leading to your ultimate success.
Failure is just a part of the learning process. When you experience failure, set goals that help you stay on
course and work yourself back toward success.

Success = Goal x Actions x Achievement

In my formula you can see that the more goals you set, the more actions you give the more you achieve,
the greater your feeling of success. Then you can apply the third definition of success to yourself:

3. One who succeeds!

How bout you? What are your GOALS? What ACTIONS are you taking towards your goal? How much
have you ACHIEVED so far?

XXIX. Failures as Success

Why do some of us fear change? Why are we afraid to try something new? Is it because we don’t have
time or is it because we are afraid of committing mistakes?

Though we may have a fear of failure, it’s almost a given in this life. That might sound depressing from
another standpoint, but it’s actually quite liberating! Pursuing our dreams will involve a few bumps in the
road, but that's no reason to stop dead in our tracks.

Very few great ideas are successfully executed on the first try. It took Thomas Edison a year-and-a-half to
invent the light bulb, while it took Charles Eastman — founder of Eastman Kodak — nearly seven years
before
developing a roll of film. And let’s not forget the story of J.K. Rowling, who was rejected by 12 publishers
before Bloomsbury accepted the Harry Potter manuscript.

Whew! Pursuing our dream needs commitment! But rather than getting down about it, we must view every
failure as a learning experience. Ask yourself why your concept didn’t succeed and how you can improve
it in the

future. Remember that each failure is still a sign that you’re doing something toward achieving your
dream. And that surely counts for something! Also remember, that it’s true that experience is the best
teacher but we don’t have enough time to experience failures and learn from them.

Working alone is a no-no. It's best if we surround ourselves with people that are positive and believe in
us. These people will act as a compass to get us back on course when we lose our way. These are the
people that we can find in the CA2020 community. If you are an online member and you feel inspired with
the blogs that the coaches have posted, you will be more inspired if you physically immerse yourself to
the team. I cannot begin to describe how it feels to be part of the team. You need to experience it for
yourself.
