A Maxwell spring-damper element consists of a nonlinear damper in series with a

spring, see fig 1.

The force deformation relationship is given by
f = k 2 d k = c( d c ) β

where k2 is the spring stiffness, c is the damping coefficient, βis the damping
exponent, dk is the deformation across the spring, and d c is the deformation rate
across the damper.
The constitutive relationship can be obtained as
d = d k + d c = f / k 2 + ( f / c)1 / β

Where d = d k + d c is the total deformation of the element.

In this case, how to get the elemental stiffness/damping matrix?
